0:02 creepy animatronics, dismantling your
0:05 dead baby's crib, and marching bands. If
0:07 you're like me, you felt like this after the
0:08 the
0:11 finale. From Cold Harbor Explained, the
0:12 goats and Mark's decision to leave
0:15 Gemma, we have a lot to get into. Now,
0:17 this video isn't going to be a boring
0:19 recap like some of the other breakdowns,
0:21 we'll only be dealing with the biggest
0:23 questions and theories associated with
0:24 this episode. And as such, I've left
0:26 timestamps below so you can see all the
0:28 topics we'll be covering. Plus, I'll be
0:30 coming out with a massive theory and
0:33 hidden details video that will cover the
0:35 entire season, not just the finale. So,
0:37 get ready to praise Kier by hitting that
0:39 like and subscribe button. My girlfriend
0:41 promised me a waffle party if I get over
0:43 10,000 likes. I don't have a girlfriend.
0:46 The final episode of season 2 is titled
0:48 Cold Harbor, and after a full 10
0:50 episodes, we finally find out what lies
0:52 behind this mysterious door and how the
0:55 work of our macro refiners are connected
0:57 to it. Simply put, Cold Harbor isn't
0:59 just a room, but an entirely new
1:02 consciousness created for Gemma Scout.
1:04 In fact, each of the rooms, which
1:06 correspond to different file names, are
1:08 complete separate consciousnesses, which
1:11 compartmentalize trauma in varying
1:13 levels of severity. This was done to
1:16 test what Dr. Mau calls the barrier. The
1:18 barrier is what holds back the Audi from
1:20 experiencing the inny's trauma. If the
1:22 trauma is too much, it could break this
1:24 barrier and seep into the Audi's
1:26 consciousness. This is why when Gemma
1:29 first enters Cold Harbor, Dr. Mau asks
1:32 who she is. Who are you? Something that
1:35 is also asked to new innies. Who are
1:38 you? And this room contains the ultimate
1:40 trauma, the death of a child. If the
1:42 barrier can hold this, it can likely
1:45 hold anything. This is why there are so
1:48 many rooms, 25 to be exact. They contain
1:51 increasing levels of trauma to test the
1:52 strength of this barrier. For example,
1:54 the pain of going through a dental
1:56 cleaning is different than experiencing
1:58 a plane crash. I mean, it could just be
2:00 turbulence, but you get what I mean. So,
2:02 we can assume the dental cleaning room
2:05 known as Wellington was completed before
2:07 the plane room. All of this is to
2:09 achieve Lumen's ultimate goal of ending
2:12 pain as we know it. As Drummond says,
2:14 "We commit this animal to
2:18 cure and his eternal war against pain."
2:20 Theoretically, a chip could be implanted
2:22 into our brains and any form of trauma
2:24 could be severed from our original
2:27 person. Thus, we could live a life free
2:30 of pain. I'm in a glass case of emotion.
2:32 Cooll says the macro refinement numbers
2:34 are quote a doorway into the mind of
2:37 Mark's wife. Each cluster is a feeling
2:39 associated with one of Kier's four
2:41 tempers. And these tempers are the
2:43 building blocks of the mind. They
2:46 include woe, frolic, dread, and malice
2:48 which are represented in the painting
2:50 Kir tames the four tempers as well as
2:52 the dancers at Dylan's waffle party
2:54 which we can assume are from the
2:56 choreography and marrynt department. Kir
2:58 believed that the human soul was
3:00 composed of a precise ratio of these
3:02 four tempers and it was this knowledge
3:04 on how to tame them that he wanted to
3:07 pass on to his children. by taming the
3:09 tempers, he said, quote, "The world
3:11 shall become but your appendage." The
3:13 room itself contains the same crib Mark
3:16 put together for their unborn child. If
3:17 Gemma can get through the task of
3:19 dismantling it while not remembering the
3:22 trauma of her real life, the entire
3:24 severance project would be deemed a
3:26 success and thus Mark and Gemma won't be
3:28 required. This is why Coobel says if
3:31 Cold Harbor is complete, both Mark and
3:33 Gemma are dead. I should mention this
3:35 means the death of their innies and not
3:38 necessarily their original selves. But
3:40 there are still things we don't know.
3:42 For example, how is it Mark is able to
3:44 feel these clusters of numbers if
3:46 they're associated with someone other
3:49 than himself? Perhaps it's because he's
3:50 so close to Gemma. But that wouldn't
3:52 explain why Irv, Dylan, and Heli are
3:55 able to work on Gemma's numbers as well.
3:56 Maybe because the new consciousnesses
3:58 they're creating are somewhat blank,
4:00 allowing other people to work on them as
4:02 well. It's not about creating a new
4:04 Gemma. It's about creating a blank
4:06 conscience. And what about the files
4:08 we've seen that aren't a part of the 25
4:11 files that comprise Gemma's folder?
4:13 These include files like Cello and
4:15 Chick-fil-A. I'm guessing these are
4:17 failures. Files which a refiner was
4:19 unable to complete or which Gemma's
4:22 barrier was unable to hold. Let's also
4:24 discuss the winter coat. The same winter
4:26 coat Gemma wore on the night of her
4:29 supposed death. This is the only outfit
4:31 she wears that is actually associated
4:33 with both Gemma and the time period in
4:35 which she left the Audi world. Every
4:38 other outfit is from the 1960s. I think
4:40 the ' 60s thing could have something to
4:42 do with Jame Egan, who would have grown
4:44 up during that time. We also know that
4:46 he watches these tests from his own
4:48 computer, but what do you guys think?
4:51 Now, what about the name Cold Harbor?
4:53 Every other file is a reference to a
4:54 physical place that's somewhat
4:57 recognizable in the real world. Cold
4:59 Harbor is not. And if it is indeed a
5:02 location, it's likely only found in the
5:04 Severance universe. If that's the case,
5:06 it could be the location where Gemma
5:08 quote unquote died. But it could also be
5:10 metaphorical, like the cold place we go
5:12 inside ourselves when experiencing
5:14 moments of tremendous loss. If you're
5:17 like me, arguably the most WTF moment of
5:19 the entire episode was Mark's decision
5:22 to leave Gemma and run off with Heli. It
5:24 also raises the question, where do they
5:26 think they're going? There's no escape
5:28 and it'll only be a matter of time
5:29 before they're apprehended and their
5:32 innies retired for good. The first thing
5:34 we have to ask ourselves is why Mark
5:36 made this decision. And it's important
5:38 to note that this is any Mark making
5:40 this choice, not our Audi. In fact, the
5:42 first 20 minutes of the episode is
5:44 basically a back and forth between these
5:47 two severed portions of Mark's brain as
5:49 they try to come to an understanding on
5:51 saving Gemma. Audi Mark needs his
5:53 Iniey's help to do this. But if they're
5:55 successful in saving Gemma, it would
5:57 lead to the downfall of Lumen and thus
6:00 end In Mark's existence. It would be his
6:02 death. So for his innie, the question
6:04 becomes, would you sacrifice yourself
6:06 for someone who's basically been your
6:08 captor? But it's not just any Mark who
6:10 stands to lose his life. It's every
6:13 single innie on the severed floor. I
6:15 think the second you get your wife back,
6:17 you forget I ever existed. So, I totally
6:19 get why Mark's Inny initially rejects
6:21 the plan to save Gemma. There's nothing
6:24 in it for him except the promise of
6:26 reintegration. And this promise is most
6:28 likely [ __ ] I mentioned
6:30 reintegration. He basically called
6:32 [ __ ] Well, he's not wrong, right?
6:34 It's left ambiguous, but we can assume
6:37 Audi Mark would not reintegrate if he
6:39 got his wife. I mean, the procedure is
6:41 extremely dangerous, and we've seen what
6:43 it can do not only to him, but also with
6:45 people like Petey. And that's not even
6:47 getting into the specifics of how a
6:49 reintegrated person would function. As
6:52 Inie Mark mentions, the vast majority of
6:54 this reintegrated mind's memories would
6:56 belong to the Audi. How do these two
6:59 severed consciousnesses reconcile when
7:01 one is much more vast than the other?
7:03 It's ultimately Coobel who convinces Any
7:05 Mark to go through with the plan to save
7:07 Gemma. Once Cold Harbor is complete,
7:09 he'll be killed anyway, so why not save
7:11 Gemma, which will at least give him the
7:13 chance of being saved. Upon arriving
7:15 back on the severed floor, Mark is
7:17 greeted to a new painting, the exalted
7:20 victory of Cold Harbor. I'll have a
7:21 whole section devoted to this later in
7:23 the video. Mark and Heli are the only
7:26 two macro refiners left, and Heli is
7:28 here to bear witness as Mark completes
7:30 the file. There's also this weird
7:32 mannequin of Kier Egan. If you've seen
7:35 my episode 9 video, you'll know Seanc's
7:37 connection to a Twilight Zone episode
7:39 about mannequins becoming real people,
7:41 but this mannequin appears to be
7:43 animatronic. I wonder if it's from the
7:45 perpetuity wing of Gwendalyn's former
7:47 office where she said the Egginans were
7:50 animatronic. Ours were animatronic. They
7:51 even did this little choreographed
7:54 dance. So yours just stand there. Mark
7:56 even gets a cute waffle party pop-up
7:58 card. Waffle parties being the highest
8:00 perk available to MDR employees and
8:02 awarded to the refiner of the quarter,
8:04 which in this case looks to be Mark.
8:06 Mark and Heli discuss the pros and cons
8:08 of completing Cold Harbor with Heli
8:10 stating that the only way any Mark has a
8:13 chance at living is if he saves Gemma.
8:15 But Mark doesn't just want to live. He
8:17 wants to live with Hely. Yeah, but I
8:19 want to live with you. This is
8:22 impossible as Heli reminds him, but I'm
8:25 her Mark. Heli is Helena Egan. There's
8:28 no way he'll ever get to be with her.
8:30 There'll be no honeymoon ending for you
8:34 and Hel. But I actually think there is a
8:36 way they can be together and we'll get
8:38 to that in a bit. Heli has this
8:40 interesting call back to episode 1 where
8:41 she tells Mark she's been trying to
8:44 think of another place besides Delaware.
8:45 Been trying to think of other place
8:48 names besides Delaware. This was one of
8:50 the questions Mark first asked Hely.
8:53 Please name any US state or territory.
8:55 [ __ ] comes to mind. I don't know.
8:57 Delaware. And the two end up talking
8:59 about the equator. This is an
9:01 interesting location considering the
9:03 equator is what separates the northern
9:05 and southern hemispheres. It's a
9:07 metaphor for not only the severed brain
9:09 cutting our consciousness into innie and
9:11 audi, but for the severance floor
9:13 itself. The last thing heli says to Mark
9:15 before he ventures off to save Gemma is,
9:17 "See you at the equator." And where does
9:19 she meet him at the end of the episode,
9:21 but on the severed floor, the floor that
9:23 separates the test floor below and the
9:25 Audi world up top. It could also mean
9:27 the door that separates the outside
9:29 world from the inside. But let's fast
9:30 forward to that pivotal moment. Mark
9:33 chooses Heli over Gemma. Is it an
9:35 irrational decision? Sure. But who says
9:38 anything about love is rational? This is
9:40 a man whose reason to live is Heli. And
9:42 by going through that door, even if
9:44 reintegration was possible, he'd never
9:47 get to be with her. By choosing Heli, he
9:49 is choosing to spend the last moments of
9:51 his existence with someone he loves. And
9:52 I don't know about you guys, but I got
9:54 the feeling he was making this decision
9:57 on the spot. It's not like he had some
9:59 master plan to escape with Heli this
10:01 whole time. The song that plays at the
10:03 end is Nol Harrison's The Windmills of
10:05 Your Mind, which first debuted in the
10:08 1968 film The Thomas Crown Affair. It
10:10 actually won the Oscar for best original
10:12 song. It's a song all about the nature
10:14 of consciousness. While the movie
10:16 explores themes like forbidden love, so
10:18 you can see why this choice was an ideal
10:20 fit. Mark and Heli run through the
10:22 hallway and you'll notice the picture
10:25 shifts from digital to film. Similar to
10:28 the flashbacks we saw in episode 207's
10:30 Chikai Bardau. Remember in Buddhism,
10:32 Chikai Bardau is a term to describe the
10:35 transitionary period from life to death.
10:37 Mark and Heli are in such a period,
10:39 literally running to their deaths. They
10:41 have nowhere to go. In an interview with
10:43 the movie podcast, cinematographer
10:46 Jessica Legonier says of the choice to
10:47 use film, but there are parts of it
10:49 where we wanted a different feeling, you
10:51 know, where we were really looking for a
10:52 different identity and a sense of
10:54 nostalgia. The juxtaposition of digital
10:57 to film parallels that of the Audi and
10:59 any world. Whereas digital tends to be
11:01 artificial and mechanical, film is
11:03 organic and physical. The decision to
11:05 end on a freeze frame is reminiscent of
11:07 the French new wave. The most famous
11:10 example, France Trufo's The 400 Blows.
11:12 In it, a young boy spends time with his
11:14 best friend trying to plan a better
11:17 life, but comes into conflict with the
11:18 law, similar to Mark becoming best
11:20 friends with Heli, talking about their
11:22 lives, and coming into conflict with
11:24 Lumen. The use of a freeze frame also
11:26 leaves the viewer with a sense of
11:29 uncertainty, ambiguity, and concern for
11:31 the lives of our characters. As we
11:32 transition to the end credits, a
11:34 traditional prison work song, Go Down
11:36 Old Hannah, plays. Old Hannah was a
11:38 nickname for the sun and how its
11:40 relentless and punishing heat beat down
11:42 on the prisoners as they work. Heli and
11:44 Mark are much like these prisoners.
11:47 They're waiting for that sun to set. The
11:49 sun here being the oppressive Lumen
11:51 regime. But is this the end of Mark and
11:53 Heli? And how could they possibly get
11:55 out of this situation? I think the
11:57 answer lies in James' speech to Heli in
12:00 which he openly states he doesn't love
12:03 his actual daughter, Helena. I do not
12:05 love my daughter. It is actually Heli
12:08 who has the spirit of Kier within her.
12:09 You and your family created hell and
12:12 you're going to burn in it.
12:14 There he is. In fact, Jame admits to
12:16 siring many children, none of them
12:19 possessing the spirit of Kier. If you
12:20 know where I'm going with this, I think
12:23 Jame will switch Heli and Helena,
12:25 essentially shutting off the Helena part
12:27 of her brain so that Heli can live in
12:29 the outside world where he can cultivate
12:31 the cure within her. I'm sure she'll
12:33 demand any Mark come with her, which may
12:35 give Jane leverage in his control over
12:37 her. This allows the two of them to have
12:39 a life together, albeit under the thumb
12:41 of Lumen. This means Audi Mark would be
12:43 shut down, too. And it creates a really
12:46 interesting dynamic going into season 3.
12:48 I have to believe that Gemma will have
12:50 run out of that stairwell where she'll
12:52 be picked up by Devon and Miss Coobel.
12:54 So, while season 2 was all about Mark
12:56 saving Gemma, season 3 will be about
12:59 Gemma saving Mark. The alternative is
13:01 some sort of any uprising. We've already
13:03 seen glimpses of this with Dylan and the
13:05 choreography and marrynt department
13:07 standing up to Milcheek. Although I
13:09 think this direction would be too messy.
13:10 And while we're here, did you notice
13:12 that the song choreography and Marrynt
13:14 plays when they first arrive is here
13:17 chosen one here, the song Cooel sang
13:19 back in season 1. All of the players use
13:21 plastic instruments made from 3D
13:23 printers from Optics and Design. These
13:25 instruments can even be found flowing
13:27 out of Irv's bereavement mug in the
13:30 intro titles. While Lumen has purposely
13:31 kept these departments separate from one
13:33 another, they all seem to support each
13:35 other with the overall goal being the
13:38 completion of Cold Harbor. OD makes the
13:40 items for the rooms. MDR refineses the
13:42 numbers for a new consciousness.
13:44 Mamalian's nurturable provide the goats
13:46 and choreography and marrynt improve
13:48 morale for the workers. And a little off
13:50 topic, but can we also clock how Jame
13:52 had his own room connected to an
13:54 elevator? Is this part of the severance
13:56 elevator or is this somewhere else
13:58 entirely? Since season 1, one of the
14:00 biggest questions on everyone's minds
14:02 are what the hell are these frigin
14:04 goats? In the finale gives us a bit more
14:06 clues about these kids. Yeah, I didn't
14:09 know that a baby goat is called a kid.
14:11 It makes more sense now that the mascot
14:13 for Coobel's school were the fighting
14:14 kids. And now that we know these animals
14:17 are used as a sacrifice, it adds an
14:19 extra layer of creepy. The first thing
14:20 we'll learn is that the severance floor
14:23 hallway has a hidden room. It makes me
14:24 question whether there are other such
14:27 rooms scattered around the labyrinthine
14:29 halls. As Gemma is herded to Cold
14:31 Harbor, Lauren, the head of Mamleon's
14:33 Nurturable, brings a goat to Drummond.
14:35 The name Lauren originates in Scotland
14:38 and means fox. And foxes are known to go
14:40 after goats, especially kids. So, this
14:43 is all very planned out by the writers.
14:45 It's also crazy to have the death of a
14:47 kid juxtaposed to Gemma literally
14:49 dismantling the crib of her dead child.
14:51 The goat has come as a quote offering.
14:53 And this particular kid was chosen
14:55 because it's demonstrated Lumen's nine
14:58 core principles such as verve and wilds.
15:01 The whole ceremony is akin to a cultish
15:03 or satanic ritual. Goats have commonly
15:05 been associated with the devil and even
15:08 Lauren's outfit looks satanic in its
15:10 looming black. This is a ritual that's
15:12 been done multiple times before as
15:14 Lauren will question how many times
15:16 they'll have to keep doing this. You can
15:18 see that Lauren does not like this
15:20 senseless killing and it's no doubt part
15:22 of the reason she'll turn on Drummond.
15:24 But the very fact this has been done
15:26 multiple times raises many questions.
15:28 How many times has Gemma gone through
15:30 this process. Are there others like
15:32 Gemma who are also going through this
15:34 efficacy test? Remember there is an
15:36 identical room across from her on the
15:38 test floor. This goat referred to as a
15:40 beast by Drummond will be attuned to a
15:43 quote cherished woman who we can assume
15:45 is Gemma. its spirit will guide her to
15:47 Kier's door. I personally believe that
15:49 this whole ritual should be taken
15:51 symbolically and not literally. Like I
15:53 don't believe a ghost goat is going to
15:56 lead Gemma to a door where Kier is.
15:58 Symbolically, this ritual makes a lot
16:00 more sense. For example, in certain
16:03 mythologies, goats are seen as psychops
16:04 or creatures that can move between
16:07 worlds, usually the material and
16:09 spiritual. Perhaps the most famous
16:11 example is the half-goat god Pan, who
16:13 you may remember associated with Pan's
16:15 labyrinth. Many have drawn a connection
16:17 to the maze-like corridors of Lumen to
16:19 such a labyrinth. This could mean that
16:21 this goat or its spirit is to guide
16:23 Gemma through these halls to a part of
16:25 Lumen we haven't yet seen. Remember that
16:27 Pey tried to map Lumen's halls, but it's
16:30 a jumbled mess. There are even parts of
16:32 this map that we haven't yet seen. Like,
16:34 what is the coil of doom? In some
16:36 cultures, goats were used in ritual
16:39 sacrifices to symbolize the release of
16:41 its life force or spirit to a higher
16:43 power. In this case, that higher power
16:46 would be kir. The ritual would act as a
16:48 bridge between the human consciousness
16:50 and the divine with the goat being a
16:52 vessel or medium connecting the two. So,
16:54 it's possible this is all part of some
16:56 attempt to get closer to Kir. We'll also
16:58 see several depictions of this ritual
17:00 where someone offers up the goat to be
17:02 sacrificed. I interpreted this one as
17:03 the goat resurrected with the sun
17:05 blaring behind it like those old
17:07 Christian paintings suggesting something
17:10 divine. The death altar is also in the
17:11 shape of a swaddled baby with just
17:13 enough room for the head to poke out
17:15 where it will be killed using a bolt
17:17 pistol. The sides also seem to have
17:18 writing on them. However, the quality
17:20 isn't good enough to make out what it
17:22 says. If you've seen my episode 209
17:25 video, you'll know I think Jame Egan had
17:27 sex with a young Misscoel. I'll probably
17:29 do a separate video going into greater
17:31 detail on this. But I also believe that
17:33 the relationship ended with Cooel
17:35 getting pregnant. I mean, she knows all
17:36 about James' other women being brought
17:38 to the birthing center. Plus, Jame
17:40 himself acknowledges his other children
17:43 who were quote sired in the shadows. If
17:46 Cooel had a child, I think that child is
17:48 Mark. It would explain how she was
17:49 always keeping an eye on him and even
17:51 does motherly things like bake him
17:53 cookies. But there's one line in this
17:55 episode that really highlights this.
17:57 It's where she says to Mark, "I care for
18:00 you." Something about this line seemed
18:02 so out of place, and knowing how
18:04 intentional this show is with its
18:05 dialogue, I can't help but think it's
18:08 another clue that Cooel is Mark's mother
18:10 and she had to give him up as a teen
18:12 mom. Just when you thought the paintings
18:13 in this show couldn't get any better,
18:16 we're treated to this masterpiece titled
18:18 The Exalted Victory of Cold Harbor. It
18:20 depicts Mark surrounded by various
18:22 friends and co-workers as he finishes
18:24 Cold Harbor in what could only be
18:26 described as an orgasmic state, reaching
18:28 his hand in the air as if receiving some
18:31 divine favor. The location is Wo's
18:33 Hollow, which we saw during our Innies
18:35 Orpo, and we even get a glimpse of the
18:37 world's tallest waterfall. Wo Hollow is
18:39 where Kier went to drown out the sound
18:41 of his dying twin brother, Deer. And I
18:43 thought this was pretty cool, but Deer
18:47 Egan is an anagram for AI generated and
18:50 Winter Tide is an anagram for deer twin.
18:51 At top the falls, looming over the
18:54 others are various members of the Egan
18:56 family. From left to right, Ambrose,
18:59 Myrtle, Philillip, Jame, Helena, Kier,
19:01 Leonora, Baird, and Ghart. The show is
19:03 filled with nods to these characters
19:05 like Pips's Diner is named after Philip
19:07 Egan, and the Leonora apartments are
19:09 where Irv lives. Below the waterfall,
19:11 we'll see clusters of different groups
19:13 that have brought Mark to this moment.
19:15 In the far back left are Ricken's
19:17 friends, Patton, Denise, and Rebec. And
19:19 it took me a while to figure out who
19:21 this guy is. It's Balf, the guy who
19:24 informs Ricken the netty pot is ready.
19:26 Uh, Ricken, the netty pot is warm. In
19:28 front of them are Mark's MDR
19:29 replacements from the beginning of
19:32 season 2, Gwendalyn, Daario, and Mark W.
19:34 This is followed by members of Optics
19:36 and Design, Elizabeth, Felicia, and
19:39 Bert. Directly to Mark's right are Pey,
19:41 Coobel, Irv, Ricken, Devon, Baby
19:43 Eleanor, Heli, and Dylan. To Mark's
19:45 left, we have Miss Casey, Milchek, Miss
19:48 Hong, holding her theramin, Natalie, and
19:50 Mr. Grainer. We'll also see three
19:51 members of Mamleian's nurturable,
19:54 Lauren, Wyatt, and Goatman. There are
19:56 the four innie twins from the Ortho and
19:57 rounding out the painting, the four
20:00 tempers, Wo, Dread, Malice, and Frolic.
20:02 Praise gear, we haven't seen the end of
20:04 Dylan G. Although not given the largest
20:06 story line this episode, we do get a bit
20:08 of a wrap-up regarding his affair with
20:10 Gretchen. Milcheek gives him a letter
20:13 from his Audi explaining three points.
20:16 Point one, you point two, Gretchen is
20:18 perfect. And point three, Audi Dylan
20:20 hopes his wife will one day see him like
20:22 she sees his innie. This whole situation
20:24 was a wake-up call for Audi Dylan to get
20:26 his life in order. Perhaps now he'll
20:28 change to become that self- assured
20:31 badass his innie is. So in Dylan has a
20:33 choice. He can choose to stay at Lumen
20:35 or quit for good. And I think that
20:37 heroic push of the vending machine to
20:39 block Milch gives us our answer. He's
20:41 here to stay. I also like that on his
20:44 resignation form, he only put down his
20:46 first name because that's all he knows.
20:47 And did anyone else notice that the
20:49 break room has been cleared out? It's
20:51 almost as if once Mark is done with Cold
20:54 Harbor, MDR isn't needed anymore and
20:55 they've already started clearing things
20:57 out. For those wanting a brief
20:59 explanation of the Gemma escape, here's
21:01 a step-by-step guide where I'll display
21:03 who's an innie and Audi every step of
21:05 the way. We start with Audi Mark making
21:07 his way from Blumen's ground floor.
21:09 There he will take the elevator down to
21:11 the severance floor where he turns into
21:13 his innie. In Mark then makes his way to
21:16 the export hallway using the directions
21:18 slipped to him by Heli. By going down
21:20 the export hallway elevator, he turns
21:22 back into his Audi since he is no longer
21:24 on the severed floor. There he finds
21:27 Gemma, whose brain has been severed 25
21:29 times in the cold harbor room. This is
21:31 why she doesn't recognize him when she
21:33 first meets him. This room also doesn't
21:35 affect Mark's chip, so he's still his
21:37 Audi here. When they exit the room, Mark
21:40 is still his Audi, but Cold Harbor Gemma
21:42 turns back into regular Gemma, the same
21:44 Gemma that fell in love with Mark those
21:46 years ago. They have a brief moment to
21:48 embrace before rushing back to the
21:50 elevator. As we ascend to the severed
21:52 floor, we get the most awkward switch as
21:54 our characters kiss turning back into
21:56 any Mark and Miss Casey. Finally,
21:58 there's the stairwell threshold. Miss
22:00 Casey goes through first and upon
22:03 exiting the other side turns into Gemma.
22:05 Mark, however, stays behind with Heli.
22:07 With season 2 having come to an end,
22:10 there is some good news. As of the time
22:12 of this writing, a season 3 has not been
22:14 confirmed, although it's pretty safe to
22:16 say it will be considering Severance is
22:19 Apple's most watched TV show ever. In
22:22 February of 2025, Ben Stiller confirmed
22:23 that a writer's room was currently
22:25 underway in LA. And for those of you
22:27 thinking it'll be another three-year
22:29 wait, it'll likely be far less
22:31 considering season 2 was affected by
22:33 both the writer and actor strike. Now,
22:34 if you like this video, make sure to
22:36 like and subscribe. I will be coming out
22:38 with more Severance content. Thanks for
22:40 watching. Be sure to like and subscribe.
