5:00 curse but then Harry Connor survived
5:02 which has never been happened before and
5:06 Baltimore lost his power which kinda
5:09 made Harry like maybe a little bit of a
5:11 big deal cuz like it's never been done before

5:14 no Baltimore it's a thinly veiled
5:19 metaphor for it there reminds me the
5:21 time I tried to kiss someone's parents
5:23 but was also thrown by the power of love

5:32 they took him to be raised by his
5:35 muddled aunt and uncle Don and uncle art

5:58 gets invited to join this magical school
6:02 called Hogwarts so he finally does learn

6:05 as of going to the school make some new
6:07 friends ends up in a serious committed
6:10 relationship also fights dark magic and

6:18 things start happening to Harry and it's
6:19 kind of cool and they make seven books

6:31 different explanation who the heck is
6:39 well Draco Malfoy is an official gay
6:42 disaster who comes from a high-profile

10:26 clear path he is the chosen one Drake
10:28 who wants a path he wants to be the

10:39 denying it Draco doesn't understand that
10:40 he shouldn't be so worried about what other

11:58 adolescent phases of Harry Potter
12:02 HP gang grew up together through all the
12:04 phases of awkward hairs and odors and
12:08 that's something truly special I mean
12:10 it's hard to condense you know like
12:12 seven years of Draco's obsessing into
12:15 just a few highlights but I can hit the
12:16 highlights let's go [Music]
12:24 Draco's existence before getting in a
12:26 dark magic was basically defined by
12:28 making fun of Harry I'm sure he had
12:30 other hobbies like listening to crunch
12:34 or something I'm sure that Draco had
12:36 other hobbies like collecting hair gel
12:40 but he was his main hobby was being a
12:43 Harry Potter fan girl he even made pins
12:45 dedicated to Potter I mean they said
12:47 Potter stinks but like this guy had Etsy
12:49 merge dedicated to the Harry Potter
12:51 fandom he was doing things before we did
12:55 people hello you know Harry had an
12:57 opinion of what Draco thought of him I
12:59 mean it certainly wasn't a Draco's level
13:03 but it certainly was there I'm fine
13:06 said Harry jumping up the thought of
13:08 what Draco Malfoy would save he had to
13:11 go to the hospital wing was torture now
13:13 the height of the dreary relationship is
13:16 probably the sixth year Harry Potter and
13:17 the pure blood boy he can't stop
13:19 thinking about Harry this is getting
13:21 kind of weird this is where Harry
13:23 literally and canonically has an
13:26 obsession with Draco Malfoy I mean this
13:28 guy literally an ironic Lee wakes up in
13:30 cold sweats in the nights thinking about
13:35 Draco Malfoy so let me explain a bit
13:39 Harry is 16 he's growing up he's moving
13:41 on from becoming a pimply early high
13:43 schooler to a nice sweaty young adult
13:46 he's also still on his mission to defeat
13:49 the newly egg ich and newly ally of all
13:51 de mort Voldemort is therefore now
13:53 focusing on rebuilding his brand and
13:55 stuff and like getting his followers
13:58 back these people they're called Death
14:00 Eaters it's been a long suspicion of
14:02 Harry's that Draco's dad Lucius is also
14:05 actually a Death Eater and he's right
14:07 now that Voldemort's back Harry suspects
14:09 that there's gonna be some sort of plan
14:12 to take over Hogwarts and he suspects
14:14 that the mastermind behind all of this
14:17 will be the one and only Draco Malfoy
14:22 and this suspicion slowly turns into an
14:25 obsession let's just say that wouldn't
14:27 mind like getting married if it meant he
14:29 could keep an eye on him
14:31 now this sixth book half-blood Prince if
14:33 we start to get a glimpse
14:36 to Draco Malfoy's actual character we
14:37 get to see all these crushers that he's
14:41 facing all of this stuff just
14:43 surrounding Draco telling him to be
14:45 different things pulling him in
14:47 different directions and here he is
14:51 sitting here with us conscious like yeah
14:54 I can't even figure out my sexuality how
14:57 am I gonna figure out good and evil he's
14:58 under a lot of pressure from Death
15:00 Eaters and Voldemort for a cause he
15:02 doesn't really actually believe it's a
15:05 hard time for Draco let's give us a
15:09 space now the descriptions as Harry
15:13 stalks Malfoy a kinda nod heterosexual
15:15 for example there's this one scene where
15:18 Harry is doing you know his casual Draco
15:20 stalking he's under his invisibility
15:22 cloak they're on a train and he's
15:24 watching Malfoy from the carriage Harry
15:26 curled and comfortably under the cloak
15:28 to ensure that every inch of him
15:31 remained hidden and watched pansy stroke
15:33 the sleek blond hair off Malfoy's
15:37 forehead smirking as she did so as
15:39 though anyone would have loved to have
15:43 been in her place okay Harry who would
15:44 have loved to be in her place
15:48 oh you Harry Oh Harry how many times we
15:50 have to have this conversation he's
15:53 taken I'm sorry you waited too long
15:56 Harry was so busy staring at Malfoy he
15:58 did not notice Coyle reaching up for his
16:00 trunk as he swung it down it hit Harry
16:03 hard on the side of the head yes I know
16:05 studying all the beautiful curvatures of
16:09 Tom Feldman's face it's a task it is a
16:12 task I understand your pain now Harry
16:15 and Malfoy were alone in the compartment
16:17 where have I seen this situation before
16:20 it's fully familiar oh yeah
16:24 fanfiction.net in 2005 way to go
16:27 JK Rowling first you make Dumbledore
16:29 secretly gay now you steal from fan
16:31 fiction off the internet how low are you

17:12 acting or like cinematography can make
17:15 something unintentionally be very
17:18 explicitly romantic literature is super
17:21 deliberate if something is weirdly
17:24 romantic or off it's because it is
17:27 written to be that way this isn't an
17:29 accident things aren't accidents in
17:31 literature you don't just splatter
17:33 things on the page and just expect
17:35 things to happen unless you're Stephen
17:37 King of course you know when given
17:40 actual context kind of like really bad
17:44 cuz Malfoy's trigger warning like
17:46 beating him up and that's very unhealthy
17:48 in a relationship I don't think that
17:50 this ship was meant to be a model
17:53 relationship in any sense of the word we
17:55 can acknowledge these aspects of the
17:57 relationship while still making
17:59 healthier relationships and fanfiction
18:01 were hairy and Draco you know take baths
18:05 and drink coffee together now this book
18:08 is long and it still manages to convey
18:09 throughout the meet of the book that
18:20 despite his determination to catch
18:23 Malfoy out Harry had no luck all over
18:25 the next couple of weeks although he
18:27 consulted the map as often as he could
18:30 sometimes making unnecessary visits to
18:32 the bathroom between lessons to search
18:35 it he did not once see Malfoy anywhere suspicious
18:36 suspicious
18:39 Harry however had never been less
18:41 interested in Quidditch he was rapidly
18:44 becoming obsessed with Draco Malfoy now
18:45 getting a bit obsessed with Malfoy Harry
18:47 I mean thinking about missing a mosque
18:48 just to follow him
18:51 Harry spared at Malfoy Harry lay awake
18:53 for a very long time in the darkness he
18:54 was determined to be Draco Malfoy at
18:56 which even if he could not yet proven
18:58 suspicions about him Harry did not sleep
19:00 well at night he lay awake for what felt
19:02 like hours wondering how mouth always
19:04 using the Room of Requirement Harry's
19:06 mind worked feverishly as dreams when he
19:08 finally fell asleep were broken and
19:11 disturbed by images of Malfoy what is it
19:15 I hate Mitch McConnel I do not spend
19:17 sleepless nights thinking about him so
19:20 you don't think about his girdle well
19:22 yeah but I don't spend sleepless nights
19:24 thinking about it wait so you don't
19:26 spend sleepless nights thinking about
19:31 his girdle if you hate someone you don't
19:33 walk around every waking moment of your
19:34 life thinking about them and talking
19:36 about them to other people
19:39 that's kind of weird Harry you're gay is
19:42 showing put that away and don't take it
19:44 out until June when corporations let you
19:46 as I was saying this stocking lets Harry
19:49 see Malfoy his vulnerability he sees him
19:52 less as a D hateable teen heartthrob and
19:56 more of a person and Harry realized with
19:59 his chalk so huge it seemed to route him
20:02 to the spot that Malfoy was crying
20:06 actually crying tears streaming down his
20:10 pale face into the grimy Basin Malfoy
20:13 gasped and gulped and then the great
20:15 shudder looked up into the cracked
20:18 mirror and saw Harry staring at him over
20:21 his shoulder listen having the person
20:23 you're supposed to despise come and see
20:28 you and cry and have feelings not a cute
20:30 look so you know
20:32 the solution is now he gets mad and they
20:34 have a little good old-fashioned stick
20:36 fight now hare uses some dark magic
20:38 which makes Malfoy look even less cute
20:42 but we do get to see something even
20:43 though Malfoy is supposed to be the
20:47 enemy Harry still feels bad draco
20:50 becomes less and less of a stock villain
20:52 and more of an actual sympathetic
20:53 character and this is all through
20:56 Harry's perspective but you know Harry
20:57 is still suspicious that Drake is a part
21:01 of his races gangs so Harry and the
21:04 headmaster of Hogwarts Dumbledore go on
21:05 a little adventure together
21:07 but since bumble Bor isn't actually
21:09 gonna be at Hogwarts for that time being
21:11 Harry's a little suspicious that Drake
21:13 was actually gonna start to you know
21:17 employed the plan so in the book Harry
21:19 and the headmaster Dumbledore go on a
21:21 little adventure together to do some
21:24 important fighting evil stuff and since
21:25 bumble Bor isn't gonna be there for the
21:26 time being
21:28 Harry is a little suspicious that Malfoy
21:31 is gonna make a move and not the move he
21:36 wants on him so let's get spoilery
21:38 listen this book is literally more than
21:40 a decade old if you haven't got your
21:42 [ __ ] together and either read or watch
21:43 this and this is literally just your
21:46 fault okay I am blaming you at this
21:47 moment this is your fault
21:53 please go so of all the mort's plan was
21:58 to get draco to kill bumblebee and of
22:00 course you know Draco can't do that he's
22:01 not a killer
22:03 of all the Mort said like if you don't
22:05 kill this dude I'm gonna kill you [ __ ]
22:07 so like do it it's important to note
22:08 Draco is not evil
22:10 he's just caught up in all this BS he
22:13 doesn't understand or care about like me
22:16 when my parents were getting a divorce
22:18 do you have something we need to talk
22:19 about buddy I think it's pretty obvious
22:21 I want to talk about my parents divorce
22:23 Bal de mort's just basically doing this
22:25 to punish Draco's parents they kind of
22:28 screwed Voldemort over at one point so
22:30 he wants his parents to be like tortured
22:32 because like their son is a killer now
22:35 or else he's just gonna kill their son
22:36 or something like it's it's I've learned
22:39 the whole situation sighs so when do me
22:42 do in Harry return to Hogwarts Draco is
22:44 right there ready
22:47 kill Doofenshmirtz a dooblydoo told
22:48 Harry to go into hiding because you know
22:52 he always has some weird old wise person
22:54 gay magical persons secret plan its
22:56 cryptic it's weird isn't tell anyone but
22:58 you know he's like Harriet so it was
23:01 always away listen the Big D always has
23:04 some cryptic plan that he never explains
23:05 to anyone but somehow it all works out
23:07 so we're just gonna trust him
23:09 Dumbledore knows that this [ __ ] has to
23:11 go down in order for this whole plan to
23:13 work I feel like the movie Draco does a
23:16 good job of showing off how desperate
23:38 but then the Death Eaters come in and
23:39 like puck everyone
23:41 I mean Draco could have been like
23:45 awesome but and redeemed the just a
23:48 victim of circumstance unfortunately but
23:49 I think that there's something to be
23:52 said about Malfoy despite everyone
23:54 telling him what to do who would it be
23:57 and despite Malfoy and finally having a
24:00 clear path to follow still can't do it
24:04 Malfoy did not speak his mouth was open
24:07 his wand still trembling Harry thought
24:10 he saw it drop by a fraction all he'd
24:11 have to do is just kill this guy it's
24:14 super easy but he just doesn't just
24:17 literally cannot because that's not his
24:19 character and Harry sees a sliver of
24:22 that as Draco fails to complete his task
24:26 now this brings us to the final chapter
24:30 37 I mean not of the book of the Harry
24:33 Potter story the Deathly Hallows am I
24:34 gonna explain everything that happens in
24:37 this book no I'm just here to tell
24:38 everyone how gay everyone is if you want
24:41 to actually read it go to like a Borders
24:45 or something despite being a former
24:47 influential Wizarding family the
24:50 Malfoy's are kind of Baltimore's [ __ ]
24:52 draco has to watch his parents be
24:54 subjected to all this [ __ ] talk and
24:56 stuff I mean everything about the Dark
24:59 Arts is now dead to Draco he hates his
25:02 life now he is the living embodiment of
25:05 a GNote even Harry feels bad for him
25:08 Harry felt sickened by what he had seen
25:10 by the use to which Draco was now being
25:12 put by Baltimore
25:14 he knows that Draco isn't doing this
25:17 because he's evil trinkles being abused
25:19 and manipulated into doing things that
25:21 he doesn't understand or care about and
25:23 he feels empty inside Harry feels
25:25 sympathy for a person that he's always
25:28 despised he's starting to see a part
25:30 that other people aren't seeing so
25:32 anyways Terry is now unlike this quest
25:34 the fine thing is called Horcruxes and
25:37 oh yeah he's also the most wanted person
25:39 alive so that a lot has happened let's
25:42 just say that so Horcruxes are like
25:43 supposed to be these things that hold a
25:46 part of the person's soul so Baltimore
25:47 made like seven
25:50 them like they hold his soul and if you
25:52 want to kill Baltimore you have to find
25:54 the core Croix's like destroy them and
25:56 who cares let's just get to the gay part
25:58 so anyways
26:01 Harry and the gang is captured by Death
26:03 Eaters which is not a great thing for
26:05 them so the Death Eaters have met the
26:06 Malfoy house but they're not really sure
26:08 if is is actually Harry Potter because
26:11 Harry got sort of beat up and so he just
26:12 looks like John Lennon with a swollen
26:19 face so they ask Draco I I can't be sure
26:21 said Draco
26:23 he seemed this scared of looking as
26:25 hairy as Harry was of looking at him
26:27 Harry saw Draco's face up close now
26:29 Draco's expression was full of
26:33 reluctance even fear ah I don't know he
26:35 said and he walked away toward the
26:38 fireplace Harry and Draco finally saw
26:40 each other the two faces that have
26:43 confronted each other multiple times the
26:46 eyes that never properly met finally met
26:49 Draco knew it was Harry there the whole time
26:49 time
26:52 you just never said anything about it he

36:08 healthy relationship and it's something
36:10 that you shouldn't really model your
36:12 relationship after at all but it's super
36:14 interesting to read and watch it develop

36:19 potential I think Drury has more like
36:22 Gay Pride and Prejudice right underneath
