(upbeat party music)
- We are about to attempt a world record
using Travelport's technology, Travelport+,
seeing the Seven Wonders of the world,
all within seven days.
Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo.
- Bye, Jamie. Have fun. - Bye.
- Have a great time.
- All right.
I'm gonna bring you something back really special.
(lips smacking)
This is gonna be insane.
(upbeat music) (timer ticking)
This is the first time I'm seeing it.
(exhales sharply) Wow.
That is spectacular.
(upbeat inspirational music)
There's literally no one up here.
Now, that is a problem.
(slow ominous music)
We need a signature for Guinness World Record.
We need to find someone.
Guinness World Record rules is no joke.
We have to submit photos, video footage.
I've got a tracker, I've gotta be sending off points
every time we hit a Wonder, airport.
It's one caveat for this entire trip,
and I must do it by public transport.
The list is just endless.
There is a slight comfort,
'cause this trip, trying to pull together
as a solo mission would be incredibly difficult,
and so, Travelport, I've actually got a travel agent
that built the entire itinerary of this trip.
And if anything goes wrong,
I've gotta put my trust in the travel agent
to kind of fix it and put it right.
(upbeat music) (timer ticking)
I've been searching for you.
Come on, we're doing it.
(upbeat party music)
Whoa!
All right, day one complete.
Great Wall of China, done.
Next up, Delhi for the Taj Mahal.
See you there.
(upbeat Indian folk music)
I'm now at New Delhi Train Station,
hoping to get us to the Taj Marcel.
Taj Marcel.
God, I'm so sleep-deprived.
(train rattling) (slow Indian folk music)
Just got a taxi.
Taj Mahal, here we come.
(slow Indian folk music)
Wow.
The Taj Mahal is just the most beautiful building
I have ever seen.
(upbeat Indian folk music)
My God, this isn't...
This is not good.
We're going to the wire.
This is unreal.
Did we miss it?
I don't know.
I don't even know.
It's not looking good, though.
(upbeat suspenseful music) (sewing machine whirring)
This is the train.
It's late.
The train is late, and it's gone in my favor.
Yeah.
Yes!
(upbeat Indian folk music)
(flag flapping)
Whoa, this looks amazing, doesn't it?
Looks like we're in like the heart of a city in the desert.
I am officially crossing the site into Petra.
This is the third one outta seven.
Whoa.
(slow mysterious music) (horse sighs)
We are so close now. (tourists chattering)
Oh, wow.
(slow mysterious music continues)
This is mind-blowing.
(upbeat dramatic music)
Petra, done.
Three outta seven Wonders complete.
We're moving on to Rome.
(upbeat dramatic music fades) (timer ticking)
I'm quite impressed with myself, yeah.
(fast-paced piano music)
Wow, can you imagine?
Apparently there's over 50,000 people
that would cheer people on
while they fought to the death.
(upbeat percussion music) (timer ticking)
It just feels like you're getting this flash kind of hit
of each Wonder, and then you're back on the move.
I don't even know where we're going to next.
Is it Machu Picchu?
(buzzer rasps)
- Whoo. - God, this isn't good.
We've literally...
We've gone to the wrong terminal,
we've been stuck in traffic.
I'm pretty certain we've missed our flight.
(upbeat suspenseful music)
- I'm sorry, sir, you lost the flight.
- Are you sure?
There's no way of getting me
on that flight? - No, there is no way,
unfortunately.
- There's so many parts to this that could go wrong.
You know, as much as I wanna break it,
it's just possible that I might not.
(camera shutters)
(notification dinging)
Got me on the next flight from Rome to South America.
Get in there.
(vocalist singing in Spanish)
(upbeat party music) (helicopter blades whirring)
Finally in Rio.
We've touched down.
I've got a very short period now
to kind of see the Christ the Redeemer.
(upbeat party music)
It's official, I've made it to the fifth Wonder.
(vocalist singing in foreign language)
(upbeat music) (engine roaring)
You blink, and suddenly you're at the next Wonder.
(tinnitus ringing)
(slow suspenseful music) (timer ticking)
Cusco? - Cusco, C-U-S-C-O.
(upbeat music)
- When you move across the world that quickly,
you suddenly realize how small this world really is
and how accessible you can travel and see it.
I'm in the sixth Wonder, Machu Picchu.
Here we come.
(slow suspenseful music)
Oh my God.
Look at that.
(slow dramatic music)
I have three days.
We gotta get on the move.
I'm so exhausted.
I think I've slept 12 hours
in the space of seven days,
but it is the last flight to Chichen Itza.
Gonna do it.
(upbeat dramatic music)
I think this is it.
We're just about to hit Chichen Itza.
Have we done it?
Have we-
- We've done it, Jamie. - We've done it?
- In only seven days. - Under seven days.
A new Guinness World record has been set.
Get in there.
No way. (chuckles)
Come on. (upbeat party music)
(Jamie screaming)
Whoo-hoo-hoo.
(upbeat party music continues)
This is probably the best thing I could ever get for her.
(baby roaring)
(Jamie laughing) (upbeat party music continues)
(water burbling)
(upbeat party music continues)
(vocalist sings in Spanish) (whistle trills)
