0:13 chaos but have we ever considered Satan
0:16 as an actual character in the biblical
0:18 story a character with actual emotions
0:22 realistic motivations and specific goals
0:25 a character who does nothing by accident
0:27 and thinks through his every move a
0:31 character who had a real at changing the
0:34 direction of human history forever have
0:37 we ever asked the question why did Satan
0:40 really Rebel from God why does he hate
0:43 Humanity so much and what was his unique
0:46 connection to Jesus I mean all the
0:47 strongest villains in our favorite
0:49 movies have goals and morals they
0:52 believe to be right so why would the
0:54 ultimate villain be evil just for the
0:57 sake of evil and what does the bible
1:00 actually say about Satan throughout the
1:02 whole Bible we Encounter glimpses of
1:04 Satan's personality fragments that hint
1:06 at a more complex
1:08 Motivation by putting all the pieces
1:11 together we get convincing answers to
1:13 these tough questions revealing a
1:15 character with far more understandable
1:17 objectives the story I'm about to tell
1:19 you deepens the entire biblical
1:21 narrative including all the major
1:24 characters and it starts in a time before
1:31 humans many eons ago God created a Heavenly
1:33 Heavenly
1:36 species glorious Angelic beings who
1:40 worshiped around the Throne of their
1:43 creator but among the worshippers God
1:47 anointed one for a special purpose
1:50 described as a signant of perfection and
1:53 blameless in his ways he was covered
1:55 with many precious gemstones and was
1:58 exalted to a special place in
2:02 heaven God himself chose this Angel to
2:06 be a guardian cherub a Morning Star
2:08 shining bright in all his Splendor in
2:10 the full presence of
2:15 God his name was Lucifer meaning bearer of
2:16 of
2:19 light despite his high position he
2:22 believed he was deserving of more he
2:24 wanted to exalt himself above his
2:28 Angelic Brethren and become like the
2:34 although ambitious Lucifer served his
2:37 creator blamelessly until God made a
2:40 decision that would change everything he
2:42 decided to create
2:45 Again The Angels marveled at God's
2:48 creation of light and of the Stars they
2:50 sang Praises as he created plant life
2:53 and the land in which it would grow they
2:55 rejoiced as they watched him form the
2:57 beasts of the field the fish of the Sea
3:00 and the birds of the sky everything he
3:04 created was good but on the sixth day
3:07 God made his most controversial decision creating
3:10 creating
3:12 mankind at this point God says to
3:15 himself a phrase that Lucifer never
3:18 expected he would hear Let us make man
3:21 in our image after our
3:24 likeness and let them have
3:27 dominion this creation was special
3:30 uniquely loved and appreciated by God
3:33 and yet they seemed so feeble and
3:35 vulnerable what exactly made this
3:39 creation so special well Lucifer was
3:42 soon to find out because God had a
3:45 vision a plan that would cause Lucifer
3:49 to question everything a plan to Crown
3:51 this pathetic little race of creatures
3:54 with glory and honor to bring them near
3:58 to God to establish them as God's Own
4:02 possession to receive new perfect bodies
4:05 to become HS to his kingdom to inherit
4:08 eternal life spiritual rewards and
4:12 Dominion in heaven and most critically a
4:15 plan in which they would become like the most
4:21 high there was abundant rejoicing at the
4:23 creation of the world in heaven but
4:25 Lucifer felt a growing resentment
4:27 towards God's new love why would God
4:30 create an entirely new species to
4:32 worship him when Lucifer and the angels
4:35 had been doing it perfectly their entire
4:38 lives but to Lucifer's growing unease
4:40 there was even more to God's exaltation of
4:41 of
4:44 humanity he planned on giving the world
4:47 to come not to the angels but to the
4:51 humans he planned to send the angels to
4:54 the humans as servants and ultimately
4:56 his new species would have authority to
5:00 judge Lucifer and his brethren
5:02 God's ultimate creation wasn't the
5:05 Angels after all it was these pathetic little
5:12 animals Lucifer was an angel booming
5:14 with confidence he assumed that if God
5:17 were to bless his creation he would be
5:20 the first to him Angels were the Supreme
5:24 Beings and described as the Morning Star
5:27 he was the cream of the crop he adored
5:29 himself and having Humanity elevated
5:31 above him was incredibly
5:34 unfair this is when Lucifer came up with a
5:36 a
5:39 plan a plan to proed to God and the
5:42 angels that God was making a
5:45 mistake Adam and Eve lived in the Garden
5:47 of Eden and Lucifer identified
5:50 weaknesses that could be exploited the
5:52 tree of knowledge of Good and Evil gave
5:54 him an opportunity to
5:56 strike and with a simple question and a
5:59 simple lie Lucifer had successfully
6:04 humanity he demonstrated to all the
6:07 Heavenly hosts and God himself just how
6:09 easy it was to lead these creatures
6:12 astray this was the first step in
6:15 Lucifer's vengeful Vision his objective
6:18 was simple to prove that the human race
6:20 was incapable of fulfilling God's
6:22 Perfect Design for them to prove that
6:24 humans weren't worthy of inheriting
6:26 eternal life or inheriting God's
6:29 creation and ultimately to get God to
6:34 annihilate humanity and bless the Angels
6:37 instead after the fall of Man God found
6:39 wickedness in the heart of Lucifer and
6:42 he was cast out from Heaven he lost his
6:44 status and his wisdom was corrupted but
6:47 he wasn't alone because God was so
6:50 intent on exalting humanity and Lucifer
6:52 had just proven how easily they were
6:54 deceived many of his Angelic Brothers
6:57 abandoned their Heavenly post as well
6:59 and joined the Rebellion at that time a
7:02 third of the Angels were convinced and
7:04 deserted their
7:07 creator this is the moment when Lucifer
7:10 the guardian cherub
7:14 died and Satan the adversary of mankind was
7:16 was
7:19 born with this new name came a new role
7:22 he would accuse mankind day and night
7:25 accusing them of sinning and failing to
7:28 live up to the image of God Satan knew
7:31 that if Humanity were to succumb to sin
7:34 God's justice would guarantee their
7:36 destruction proving that the blessing
7:38 should have remained with the angels all
7:41 along and ultimately that Satan was
7:44 right but at the fall of mankind God had
7:50 response once Adam and Eve ate of the
7:52 forbidden fruit they became Sinners
7:54 before God they were ashamed of their
7:56 nakedness and decided to run away and
7:59 hide but instead of destroying them for
8:02 their betrayal God sought them out he
8:04 created clothing to cover them and
8:07 performed the first sacrifice at
8:10 Humanity's lowest moment God stood by
8:13 their side but Satan now had an
8:15 effective argument to level against
8:18 God God's justice had been compromised
8:20 in his gracious response to Humanity's
8:23 rebellion and eventually he would have
8:27 to destroy them the damage was done
8:29 Satan would embody his dual title as
8:32 tempter and accuser tempting The
8:34 Offspring of Eve to sin and accusing
8:37 them of being failures when they did
8:40 this was his life's work to ensure not a
8:42 single human could live up to God's
8:45 glorious design and Satan's successful
8:48 sabotage continued on and on throughout the
8:53 generations God saw how great the
8:55 wickedness of the human race had become
8:57 on the earth and that every inclination
8:59 of the thoughts of the human heart heart
9:03 was only Evil all the time God regretted
9:05 that he had made human beings on the
9:08 earth and his heart was deeply troubled
9:11 so he flooded the world killing every
9:13 single human Satan had achieved the
9:16 first part of his objective but God's
9:18 mercy got in the
9:22 way yet again God had shown undeserved
9:25 Mercy to humanity and yet again he
9:28 relented from executing his Justice by
9:31 rightfully destroying ing them Satan
9:33 knew that if he kept up the efforts
9:35 someday soon God would have to
9:38 annihilate Humanity until a certain man
9:42 named job offered a glimpse of Hope for
9:53 mankind about 400 years after the global
9:56 flood all the Angels Came to present
9:58 themselves before God and Satan was
10:00 among them
10:02 the Angels listened in anticipation as
10:06 God and Satan made a wager of cosmic
10:08 significance you see before this
10:11 conversation Satan was roaming the Earth
10:13 tempting The Offspring of Eve to sin and
10:16 accusing them of being failures but
10:19 there arose one man who Satan seemed to
10:23 be ignoring his name was job a man who
10:25 was blameless and upright known as the
10:27 greatest man of the East job would
10:29 regularly sacrifice offering offerings
10:32 just in case any of his children cursed
10:35 God in their hearts he was a man who
10:38 truly sought to live a righteous life a
10:40 man who seemed to be upholding God's
10:43 image better than many before him but
10:46 Satan disputed the heart behind job's
10:48 righteousness he was convinced that
10:50 job's Faith was in the blessings God had
10:53 given him rather than in God himself he
10:55 stated that if God were to remove the
10:58 blessings from job he would surely curse
11:00 him to his face [Music]
11:02 [Music]
11:05 God willing to test his faith agreed and
11:08 from that moment job fell into the hands
11:13 devil all his material possessions were
11:15 destroyed and all of his family and
11:17 servants except for his wife were killed
11:19 in tragic
11:21 circumstances but instead of running
11:23 from God or cursing him like his
11:26 ancestors job did not sin by charging
11:27 god with
11:30 wrongdoing but there was one more thing
11:33 Satan had yet to do one last trick up
11:36 his sleeve the Angels gathered once more
11:38 in God's presence and God questioned
11:41 Satan once more he reminded Satan that
11:44 his efforts against job had proven
11:47 fruitless this wasn't good for Satan
11:49 because if this human could resist his
11:51 Allure he would be forced to admit that
11:54 God was right and would be made a fool
11:56 of before all of the Heavenly
11:59 hosts so he snapped back at God and
12:02 challenged his Mercy again strike his
12:05 Flesh and Bones he said surely then he
12:06 will curse you to your
12:09 face God once again agreed but made it
12:12 clear that Satan wasn't to take job's
12:18 process job was covered from head to toe
12:21 in blistering sores his situation got
12:24 worse and worse but through it all job
12:28 never cursed his Lord for the first time
12:29 in human record
12:32 one of Satan's accusations fell
12:34 flat his promise that job would
12:37 blaspheme God hadn't come to pass and as
12:40 a reward for his endurance job was
12:42 exalted twice as high as he was when it All
12:43 All
12:46 Began through the faithfulness of job
12:48 Humanity had achieved their first minor
12:50 Victory dealing Satan a small but
12:53 shameful defeat but things weren't all
12:54 hopeful for
12:57 mankind though he didn't curse God job
12:59 still had to repent for some of his
13:02 conduct he fell short and was still
13:06 undeserving of God's mercy before a holy
13:15 rags it was clear to the Heavenly hosts
13:17 and especially clear to Satan that
13:19 humans had a hard time living up to
13:22 their image bearing status mankind was
13:25 still lost fumbling around in the dark
13:27 piecing together their own idea of what
13:30 it means to obey God and reflect his
13:33 image so God revealed something to man
13:34 that would help restore their
13:36 relationship and something that the
13:39 devil would quickly take advantage of
13:43 around 640 years after job a man named
13:47 Moses was given the law by God himself a
13:49 system in which people could atone for
13:51 their sins by sacrificing an animal in their
13:52 their
13:54 place God had offered a temporary
13:57 solution to the problem of man's evil
13:59 that Satan had highlighted time and time
14:01 time again but it was just that
14:04 temporary Satan knew the offering of
14:06 bulls and goats was incapable of truly
14:09 satisfying God's Wrath and cleansing the
14:12 people of sin he knew that the millions
14:13 of animals that were slaughtered every
14:16 year in God's name could never validate
14:19 mankind as a race he knew that God
14:23 didn't even desire the sacrifices of
14:25 animals in light of this Satan took
14:28 advantage of the new law given by God to
14:29 his people
14:32 and saw great success in tempting many
14:34 to disobey him because the law
14:36 illuminated the difference between good
14:39 and evil Satan knew exactly what God was
14:42 pleased with and what he disapproved of
14:46 this made his job far easier causing
14:48 generations of Kings to be led astray by
14:51 Foreign wives unclean activities and
14:53 their own selfish
14:56 Pride once again it seemed God's
14:58 solution to Mankind's problem had only
15:00 served to strengthen the devil's
15:03 arguments as long as humans continued to
15:06 sin they were deserving of
15:08 death the Lord looked down from heaven
15:10 on the children of man to see if there
15:11 were any who
15:14 understood who sought after God but they
15:17 had all turned aside every one of them
15:20 wandered the Earth with filthy clothes
15:32 [Music]
15:34 more than 1,000 years after the law was
15:37 instituted a prophet named Zachariah saw
15:39 something incredibly
15:41 interesting despite playing a minor role
15:44 among the prophets of old Zachariah was
15:46 one of the few humans who met one of
15:49 history's most mysterious characters a
15:52 being who had appeared in glimpses to
15:54 zachariah's ancestors a being who would
15:56 play a critical role in the upcoming
15:59 events and a being who would spell
16:02 disaster for Satan's
16:05 accusations a man named Joshua served as
16:07 high priest at the time of zachariah's
16:10 vision due to their exclusive passage to
16:12 God the high priest had to follow
16:15 stringent Purity laws and was often
16:18 considered the most holy among men yet
16:20 zachariah's Vision opened with Joshua
16:22 standing before his men and the being
16:25 dressed in filthy
16:28 rags Satan appeared and started accusing
16:30 Joshua before God and the
16:34 being this is the greatest among them
16:36 even the holiest of humans is covered in
16:39 filth and mud what chance do they have
16:41 in God's presence why don't you just
16:44 destroy them
16:47 already God had heard
16:49 enough the being before Joshua rebuked
16:52 the devil and silenced him he then
16:54 turned to Joshua and said to those
16:57 nearby take off his filthy
17:01 clothes say listened in utter disbelief
17:03 as the being said the following words to
17:06 Joshua I have taken away your sin and I
17:09 will put fine garments on you but it
17:12 can't be so he's done nothing to deserve
17:15 to be cleansed if anything he should be
17:18 destroyed but the being ignoring Satan's
17:21 accusations said to them you are men
17:24 symbolic of things to come the Lord
17:27 Almighty says I will remove the sin of
17:29 this land in a single
17:32 day Satan listened baffled by the
17:35 promise that was spoken a promise that
17:39 would arise all of his tireless work all
17:41 of his accusations and all of his
17:44 authority in a single day but how is
17:47 this even possible and who is this being
17:48 saying these
17:51 things the being that spoke to Joshua
17:56 was known as the angel of the Lord [Music]
18:12 for the next 500 years after zachariah's
18:16 Vision God seemed to take a back seat
18:18 from Satan's eyes it seemed like God had
18:21 run out of ideas to redeem Humanity he'd
18:24 implemented animal sacrifice he'd
18:27 instituted a law to make man clean he
18:29 even purged a great number of them and
18:32 started again but none of these
18:34 solutions could redeem
18:36 mankind according to God's justice
18:38 Humanity should have been entirely
18:42 exterminated eons ago but according to
18:44 God's mercy Humanity continued to live
18:48 and multiply in their sinful State soon
18:50 enough God would have to decide he
18:53 couldn't claim both Justice and mercy he
18:55 would have to choose
18:58 one while enjoying a period of victory
19:00 Satan couldn't help but feel
19:03 anxious the vision of Zachariah haunted
19:06 him the being promised to arase the sin
19:09 of the whole land in a single day could
19:11 it really be
19:13 possible God's word had been recorded by
19:15 prophets and kings and while studying
19:18 the scriptures Satan hunted for Clues to
19:21 help him prepare for God's Redemptive
19:23 plan he refused to let anyone or
19:26 anything erase all of his hard work in a
19:29 single day the thought of it terrified
19:30 terrified
19:33 him one night a glimmering star appeared
19:36 above a town called Bethlehem a young
19:38 mother named Mary gave birth to her
19:41 firstborn child in a stable God's plan
19:44 started to take shape in Satan's mind he
19:47 wanted to redeem Humanity by becoming a human
19:48 human
19:52 himself but it seemed too easy it was as
19:54 if God had given Satan the blueprint for
19:56 his plan in the scriptures he was
19:59 playing with an open hand
20:01 Satan once again took initiative and
20:04 moved promptly he ordered the death of
20:06 every boy under the age of two through
20:08 King Herod hoping to swiftly deal with
20:10 this Rising
20:13 threat but the boy escaped with his
20:17 family to Egypt and from Egypt moved to
20:20 Nazareth Satan had been outsmarted by
20:22 God not only did he fail to kill Jesus
20:25 as a baby he contributed to something
20:28 much much worse in his pursuit of the
20:31 child he actually fulfilled an Old
20:34 Testament prophecy helping to confirm
20:36 the boy's identity as a
20:39 messiah God's ultimate plan to redeem
20:42 Humanity had finally arrived and Satan
20:45 had already failed to stop it the Race
20:47 Against Time had officially begun but
20:49 the devil well versed in Old Testament
20:52 scripture still had some ideas he
20:55 believed could bring God's plan to a
20:57 catastrophic end [Music]
21:03 as time went on the boy from Nazareth
21:05 grew in strength and was filled with
21:08 wisdom Satan observed his greatest rival
21:11 and worst enemy grow up before him like
21:13 a tender shoot there was nothing about
21:16 him that made him stand out no beauty or
21:19 Majesty but to Satan this humble
21:21 Carpenter was his ultimate
21:24 fixation while Satan prepared his next
21:27 attack God was already making his next
21:29 move Jesus was baptized by a prophet
21:32 named John in the wilderness before a
21:35 great crowd of people as he resurfaced
21:37 from the flowing river the spirit Came
21:40 Upon him from heaven and God himself
21:42 confirmed to all those listening that
21:44 this was in fact his
21:47 son God had publicly announced his
21:50 arrival as man on Earth he was finally
21:53 here and his public Ministry was about to
21:54 to
21:57 begin Satan didn't know what the mission
21:59 entailed and he did didn't know what God
22:02 had in store but he knew one thing if
22:05 God had any hope of redeeming Humanity
22:07 this human form would be essential to
22:10 the plan success so Satan set out to
22:13 derail God's plan by using the strongest
22:16 weapon in his Arsenal
22:19 temptation but Satan didn't catch God
22:21 off guard with this move this was
22:24 actually something they agreed upon like
22:26 the debate they had over job Satan and
22:28 God met again to settle things once and
22:31 for all finally Satan had a chance to go
22:33 up against God himself in a form that he
22:36 was confident he could tarnish so God
22:38 LED Jesus Into the Wilderness by the
22:41 spirit and there he met the accuser for
22:45 a face off that would change
22:47 everything because the Father and Son
22:50 were one Satan's goal was simple
22:53 separate them if he could trick Jesus
22:56 into obeying him instead of God he would
22:58 be successful in separating the father
22:59 and son
23:01 causing the sun to sin and ultimately
23:04 invalidating Humanity for good he
23:06 figured that if God in human form
23:09 couldn't remain sinless then the last
23:12 hope for mankind would be snuffed out
23:14 but he needed something to wager
23:16 something that Jesus would actually consider
23:17 consider
23:20 doing in his first Temptation Satan
23:22 challenged Jesus to turn stones into
23:25 bread a simple but powerful test
23:28 considering Jesus had just gone 40 days without
23:29 without
23:31 food the devil targeted the lust of his
23:35 flesh being fully man Satan knew that
23:37 Jesus was desperate to eat just like any
23:40 other man in that condition but in spite
23:42 of his raging hunger he answered the
23:45 devil with scripture about God's
23:48 Providence but Satan's next Temptation
23:51 was more cunning than the last this time
23:52 he took Jesus to the highest point of
23:55 the temple and challenged him to jump
23:57 quoting a promise from God that the
24:00 Messiah wouldn't suffer harm from a fall
24:03 Satan employed a tactic from the days of
24:05 Eden where he would deceive his Target
24:09 into believing God might not be so
24:11 trustworthy if Jesus were to jump he
24:13 would show that the relationship between
24:16 them wasn't one of complete trust but
24:18 Jesus answered the devil with scripture
24:20 of his own do not put the Lord your God
24:22 to the
24:25 test Satan had suffered two defeats so
24:28 far so for his final Temptation he had
24:32 no choice but to wager everything at his
24:34 disposal he took Jesus to a high
24:36 mountain and showed him all the kingdoms
24:39 of the world and their Splendor kingdoms
24:41 he had held captive in sin for thousands
24:45 of years a world under his control a
24:48 world which was his to offer in exchange
24:51 the Son of God was asked to bow down and
24:53 worship the devil in
24:56 return Jesus
24:59 paused he knew that someday all the
25:01 kingdoms of the world would be his that
25:04 he would be made King over them all he
25:07 had no doubt in God's promise of that
25:09 but he reflected on what it would take
25:10 to get
25:12 there if he listened to the devil and
25:15 conceded he could inherit the world
25:17 without undergoing the torturous future
25:21 to come if he'd simply bow down to Satan
25:24 all of his suffering would be finished
25:27 but at the same rate if God bowed down
25:29 before Satan he he would be admitting
25:32 that no human was deserving that the
25:34 blessing all those eons ago was
25:38 misplaced and ultimately that Satan was
25:41 right but Jesus strengthened by the
25:44 spirit rebuked the devil exclaiming that
25:47 there is only one name worthy of worship
25:50 God the Creator with his powerful words
25:52 Jesus sent Satan away and was tendered
25:55 to By Angels Satan's attempt at the son
25:58 of man had returned fruitless despite
26:01 his terrible condition Jesus remained
26:03 faithful throughout the Temptation and
26:04 did not
26:07 sin witnessing jesus' Faith Satan
26:10 arrived as he relived the agony of job's
26:13 Victory all over again but this time the
26:17 stakes were much much higher so he
26:20 changed tact and waited for another
26:22 opportunity it seemed Satan's King had been
26:23 been
26:26 dethroned but his strongest peace his
26:29 secret weapon was quietly sitting in the
26:41 move for the next 3 years Jesus went
26:43 throughout the land undoing all of
26:46 Satan's hard work he healed those
26:49 suffering in sickness he raised people
26:52 from the dead and he expelled many of
26:55 Satan's demonic kin from their hosts at
26:58 his sight the demons quaked in fear and
27:01 and begged not to be destroyed by him
27:03 every exorcism was a torturous reunion
27:06 between a rebellious Angel and his all
27:09 powerful Creator but Satan pondered what
27:12 was the point of all this why had the
27:15 all powerful God creator of the earth
27:18 subjected himself within its
27:20 confides by clothing himself in human
27:24 flesh the Limitless had limited
27:27 himself Shackled by hunger Bound by
27:31 space and time and subject to exhaustion
27:33 he seemed intent on living out the
27:35 authentic human experience without
27:36 taking any
27:39 shortcuts it wasn't until Satan
27:40 overheard Jesus speaking to his
27:43 disciples about his mission on Earth
27:45 that the picture became a little more
27:48 clear while the disciples ignorantly
27:50 dismissed the outrageous plan Jesus
27:54 shared the devil adapted his plans
27:57 accordingly God was enacting a strategy
27:59 a way to fill the threat of zachariah's
28:02 vision and undermine all of Satan's
28:05 accusations but the secret to his plan
28:08 wasn't in a single nation or a single
28:11 people it was in a single man and a single
28:12 single
28:15 sacrifice despite Humanity's pitiful
28:18 weakness God was proving that this man
28:20 could achieve something that none before
28:24 him came close to achieving
28:27 Perfection after living the perfect life
28:29 the man would be bound to the altar as
28:33 the perfect lamb a sinless sacrifice to
28:34 end all
28:37 sacrifices Satan realized that if Jesus
28:39 somehow managed to carry out this Mission
28:40 Mission
28:42 successfully Humanity would be
28:45 permanently redeemed freed from his
28:48 accusations and worthy to receive the
28:51 blessings God had denied Satan in the
28:54 beginning God's justice would finally be
28:56 satisfied in the slaying of his son
28:59 allowing his Mercy to abound freely upon
29:01 those undeserving
29:05 wretches Satan had to move and fast so
29:08 he spoke with God one final
29:12 time have you considered my son Jesus
29:14 there is no one on earth like him he's
29:15 blameless and
29:18 upright have you not protected him all
29:20 these years from his birth through his
29:22 childhood and even during his ministry
29:25 you've put a wall of safety around him
29:27 remove your hand of protection and let's
29:29 see whether he can endure what is to
29:33 come just like every human before him he
29:36 will ultimately let you
29:40 down very well God answered the wager
29:43 was on again but with one major
29:46 difference this time the fate of all
29:48 Humanity hung in the balance God would
29:50 show before all the powers and
29:53 principalities that humans deserved his
29:57 Blessing or Satan would prove before all
30:00 the Heavenly Host posts that he deserved
30:03 this misplaced honor the stakes were
30:06 higher than ever both parties objectives
30:18 impossible the devil got an
30:21 idea if he could at any point get the
30:24 Messiah to stumble into sin his perfect
30:26 sacrifice would be invalidated and the
30:28 final hope of redeeming in humanity
30:30 would be
30:33 lost if God in human form couldn't prove
30:36 himself worthy of the blessing then no
30:38 other hope for these creatures remained
30:41 leaving Satan to experience a
30:43 resurrection of
30:45 status at this point Satan knew the
30:48 cross was unavoidable so instead of
30:50 evading it he embraced it as an
30:53 opportunity to sabotage Jesus before
30:56 God Satan devised a scheme to make use
31:00 of every human at his disposal he had
31:03 many pieces to move God had only
31:06 one Satan had to find a way to make
31:09 Jesus sin before he escaped to the Grave
31:12 ensuring any hope of humanity died with
31:15 him Jesus had put up a firm resistance
31:17 in the wilderness so Satan knew what he
31:20 was up against he would have to attack
31:23 from every angle humiliate and torture
31:26 him strip him of all comfort to make it
31:32 perfect while sharing his final meal
31:35 with his beloved disciples Satan entered
31:37 into one of jesus' companions to turn
31:39 Jesus over to the chief
31:42 priests but before it even happened
31:44 Jesus announced this betrayal at the
31:48 dinner table he seemed prepared but
31:51 Satan would not be unnerved because the
31:53 torture had only just
31:56 begun In The Garden of Gethsemane Christ
31:58 was overwhelmed with emotion
32:00 knowing he' just been handed over to the
32:03 devil he begged God to find another way
32:06 to redeem Humanity but deep down he knew
32:10 he was the final piece the King of
32:13 Kings the future of mankind would be
32:16 determined in the next 15 hours and it
32:19 rested solely on jesus' shoulders and
32:22 with a simple kiss Satan triggered the
32:29 Jesus the the next 15 hours he would be
32:32 subject to a level of suffering never
32:36 before experienced by man unfathomable
32:38 Agony On the physical emotional and
32:41 spiritual level these events would be
32:44 later known as The Passion of Christ
32:46 Christ was arrested and taken to an
32:49 illegal trial his disciples scattered
32:52 out of fear and his best friend denied
32:55 him three times after a corrupt ordeal
32:57 involving false Witnesses and many decep
33:00 ceptions Jesus was convicted and
33:03 sentenced to crucifixion he was flogged
33:06 and whipped mocked and scorned they
33:09 dressed him in a purple robe and twisted
33:11 together a crown of thorns forcing it
33:14 into his head they took turns punching
33:16 him spitting on him and tearing out his
33:19 beard he was tossed into the open where
33:21 his own people formed a crowd in
33:24 circling him the leaders of the people
33:27 choosing to worship their enemies King
33:31 they hated Rome but they hated God
33:33 more Jesus looked upon the very people
33:36 he was there to redeem with sadness as
33:39 they spat mocked and ridiculed their
33:42 only Redemptive
33:44 hope he carried his own cross to the
33:47 Mount where he was hung nails were
33:49 driven into his hands and feet pinning
33:51 him to the wood and forcing his
33:54 lacerated back to drag up and down the
33:57 plank as he tried to grasp his next breath
33:58 breath
34:00 while Satan was doing his worst the
34:03 Earth cried out in agony as its maker
34:06 was being slain the sky became dark and
34:10 the ground shook but Satan refused to
34:15 relent he was so close to death and yet
34:17 Jesus hadn't opened his mouth against
34:20 the Lord Satan panicked he started
34:22 insulting the son of man echoing his
34:25 challenge in the wilderness he saved
34:27 others let him save himself if he is
34:30 God's m Messiah the chosen one if you
34:32 were the king of the Jews save
34:35 yourself aren't you the Messiah save
34:37 yourself and
34:40 us Satan was exposing humans in all the
34:43 depraved wickedness before The God Who
34:47 had come to save them and finally Jesus
34:52 mouth while bearing all the sin of
34:55 mankind in his flesh he gazed up to
34:59 heaven and seeing only Darkness he
35:03 muttered my God my God why have you forsaken
35:09 me was that
35:12 it was all the pain and suffering too
35:13 much to
35:16 bear did he finally turn away from God
35:18 and curse him in his last
35:21 moments did Jesus die in sin like the
35:23 rest of
35:42 after Jesus had breathed his last Satan
35:44 waited for the confirmation of his
35:47 victory he expected that if Jesus did
35:49 maintain his sinlessness after the
35:52 onslaught of suffering he would rise
35:55 again as he promised seconds turn to
35:59 minutes minutes turn to hours hours
36:03 turned to days every second that passed
36:05 gave Satan more confidence that Christ
36:08 wasn't coming back all factors seemed to
36:12 point to a victory for Satan scattered
36:16 disciples widespread chaos and a wounded
36:20 Planet but on the third day Satan
36:23 trembled the stone barring the tomb had
36:25 been rolled away and the body of his
36:27 Nemesis had vanished
36:30 on the third day the reality of jesus'
36:34 victory over death hit him all at once
36:36 confirmed by his
36:39 resurrection on the third day the
36:41 deceiver of the Nations discovered that
36:45 he was the one who'd been
36:47 deceived he'd been deployed by the
36:49 father to carry his son through the
36:53 tortes that would redeem Humanity
36:55 ensuring every prophecy was fulfilled
36:58 and all the conditions were met to Grant
37:01 Humanity the glory they never
37:04 deserved a deep resentment bubbled
37:07 within Satan a hatred unknown to Mortal
37:11 men a loathing that had been brewing for
37:14 eons ready to burst forth in unprecedented
37:22 outrage Jesus had burdened himself with
37:25 the sins of every human taking them onto
37:27 his own sinless body and removing them
37:30 via his death and Resurrection for the
37:33 first time ever Humanity was worthy to
37:36 receive the blessings promised to them
37:39 and most importantly Humanity was
37:42 permanently freed from Satan's powerful
37:45 accusations no longer did Satan have the
37:49 platform to accuse man before God as far
37:51 as God was concerned Satan had no
37:53 evidence that a redeemed believer was
37:55 deserving of
37:58 judgment but Satan
38:00 desperately looking for a loophole
38:03 quickly identified something to [Music]
38:05 [Music]
38:09 exploit under this New Covenant of Grace
38:11 whoever believed in the son would have
38:14 eternal life but whoever didn't would
38:17 still perish Satan realized that though
38:20 Christ offered the gift of Grace to all
38:23 Sinners not all Sinners would accept
38:26 that gift and if a sinner chose to
38:28 remain in their sin they'd be spitting
38:31 in the face of their all loving Creator
38:34 and choosing their own
38:36 condemnation this was an outcome Satan
38:39 desperately desired and with the rapid
38:42 growth of Christianity taking over Satan
38:44 had to act
38:48 quickly so he started to prowl scouring
38:51 the Earth for weakness and praying upon
38:54 them he abandoned the name accuser for
38:56 that power had been vanquished and
39:05 Devourer Satan saw some success in
39:08 deceiving and devouring many over the
39:10 following centuries but those who
39:13 believed in Jesus seemed to have other
39:15 plans they started gathering together
39:18 for times of worship and encouragement
39:21 they called it church and they started
39:23 calling themselves
39:25 Christians Satan identified this
39:28 Fellowship as a threat though the early
39:30 church was powerful in denying his
39:32 attempts to creep in its resistance
39:34 faltered As Time
39:37 progressed Satan secured quite an
39:39 influential foothold in many
39:41 congregations deceiving people and
39:44 luring them back outside to the Dark
39:47 World of sin and
39:49 death but he found that there were
39:52 always some who resisted him it was as
39:54 if they had been protected by God
39:58 himself from Satan's attacks
40:00 these new Saints seem to be equipped
40:02 with some special armor granting them
40:04 immunity to the devil's
40:07 intrusions the group was called the
40:10 elect and Satan realized he was
40:13 powerless against them their stward
40:16 defense frustrated Satan to no end
40:18 Satan's dominion over people was now
40:20 challenged by these pockets of
40:22 resistance granted immunity by the
40:26 sacrifice of Jesus a sacrifice that
40:28 Satan partially
40:31 enabled he needed something bigger it
40:33 was obvious their strength came through
40:38 jesus' Power so Satan adapted his plans
40:40 accordingly but how could he possibly
40:42 contend with the Risen Savior in
40:45 ascended form backed by the father and
40:48 spirit it was three against
40:51 one coordinating mankind into a force
40:53 against them was an important and
40:56 insulting step but that Army alone
40:59 wouldn't stand a CH against the Holy
41:03 Trinity Satan needed a trinity of his
41:06 own Satan continued working evil amongst
41:09 Humanity priming them for the day of
41:12 battle against their lord and savior
41:14 when the time had come and the pieces
41:17 had fallen into place Satan stood on the
41:20 seashore anticipating the climax of his
41:21 plan to [Music]
41:23 [Music]
41:26 arrive a Powerful Beast burst through
41:28 the calm Waters
41:30 it boasted seven heads with 10
41:33 intimidating horns one of the heads had
41:37 a fatal wound which had been healed the
41:39 wound stood in mockery of the wounds
41:42 left in Christ's body from the cross and
41:45 so the Beast joined Satan in his Army against
41:51 God Satan granted the Beast authority
41:54 over his kingdom on Earth hoping the
41:56 Beast would use his pervasive Charisma
41:59 and deceptive charm to lure even the
42:01 elect away from
42:04 Jesus if the elect could be led astray
42:06 Satan could crush the pockets of
42:09 resistance within his Empire of darkness
42:12 and effectively mobilize all of humanity
42:13 against their
42:16 creator the Beast was known as the man
42:19 of lawlessness Son Of
42:24 Destruction and was given the title of
42:28 antichrist the Antichrist back by Satan
42:31 saw great success in deceiving the human
42:34 race the great Beast received worship
42:38 from the enslaved and so did Satan the
42:40 devil had typically lurked in the
42:43 shadows before now deceptively luring
42:46 people into following him openly being
42:49 worshiped on a global scale was an
42:52 unfamiliar sensation he could certainly
42:56 get used to Satan's Pride was drained by
42:59 Christ but it was recharged by the
43:01 worship he received that should have been
43:03 been
43:06 Gods but Satan's Unholy Trinity was not
43:10 yet complete he was still awaiting its final
43:11 final
43:15 member the Earth burst open as a second
43:19 beast emerged this Beast had two large
43:21 horns and spoke like a
43:24 dragon completing the trio the third
43:28 Beast adopted a special role
43:30 the authority of the first Beast was
43:33 shared with the second reinforced by the
43:36 signs and wonders it performed like the
43:39 Prophet Elijah it called fire from
43:42 heaven in full view of
43:45 humanity the second beast directed all
43:48 praise to the image of the Antichrist
43:51 and marked every human captivated by him
43:57 beast the second beast was given the
43:59 title false
44:02 prophet Satan was in a winning position
44:04 as more of the elect were deceived into
44:08 worshipping the Beast his army grew his
44:12 Unholy Trinity was complete and were
44:24 three the time had finally come to enact
44:27 Satan's endgame strategy the Unholy
44:30 Trinity opened their mouths and from
44:32 each of them came a demonic spirit that
44:35 looked like a frog they went out to all
44:38 people performing signs and deceiving
44:41 them into joining the devil's Army all
44:42 the kings of Earth were gathered
44:45 together led by the Trinity of
44:47 Destruction the place they met was called
44:48 called
44:51 Armageddon and there they prepared their
44:53 forces for the arrival of Satan's ancient
44:55 ancient
44:59 opponent suddenly a blast of white light
45:01 pierced through the heavens from the
45:04 clouds came a man on a white horse he
45:07 was accompanied by myriads of other
45:09 Riders descending from Heaven's Gates
45:12 and gathering in the sky the great king
45:15 of kings had returned to Earth but
45:18 before initiating battle a single angel
45:21 caught the attention of them all he
45:24 stood in the Sun and called out to the
45:27 birds of the sky come gather together
45:34 God this battlecry sounded across both
45:37 Army formations igniting the
45:40 onslaught the Beast the kings of the
45:43 earth and their armies against the white
45:46 Army of heaven but the battle was Swift
45:49 and decisive the Beast was captured
45:51 along with the false prophet and
45:53 together they were tossed alive into the
46:01 as they fell they watched as the armies
46:03 of God annihilated every soldier in the
46:07 devil's ranks behind them an enormous
46:10 swarm of bloodthirsty Birds followed
46:14 gorging themselves on the dead men's
46:18 flesh Satan was in trouble in the face
46:21 of such a defeat Satan had no choice but
46:24 to attempt an escape instead he was
46:26 seized by an angel from heaven and
46:29 tossed into into the abyss sealed and
46:32 locked away by a special key the devil
46:34 was left alone with his
46:37 thoughts festering over yet another
46:41 humiliation at the hands of God finally
46:44 he was imprisoned giving mankind a
46:54 hounding for the next 1,000 years King
46:57 Jesus Ruled the Earth in harmony
46:59 believers who were beheaded for the
47:01 gospel were resurrected to rule with
47:04 Christ in his Victorious Kingdom while
47:07 the Earth experienced a renewal Satan
47:11 sat in silent Darkness contemplating his
47:14 humiliating defeats from the very start
47:17 God had unfairly overlooked Satan
47:19 rewarding humans with the glory he
47:21 deserved all
47:23 along he threw everything he had at
47:26 Christ in his human form desperately
47:28 trying to ruin him but in the end he
47:31 only served to advance God's Redemptive
47:37 plan for Humanity the very last thing he
47:39 desired he thought in forming an Unholy
47:42 Trinity to oppose the godhead he would
47:44 taste victory at last but the battle
47:47 seemed to be over before it even
47:51 started in reconciling his many failures
47:54 Satan had to make a decision would he
47:57 concede at last in hope that his arch
48:00 nemesis would show him Mercy or would he
48:04 fight unto death for his unruly
48:06 cause many emotions may have stirred
48:09 within him in those thousand years but
48:13 one rose to the top one conquered all
48:16 and overpowered any scar of morality
48:20 left in his being with snarling and
48:24 nashing of teeth Satan embodied R in its
48:28 purest form
48:30 after the Thousand Years had ended the
48:33 abyss was open and Satan charged out of
48:37 the depths in Fury he stormed the face
48:40 of the Earth trying his most twisted and
48:42 cunning tactics to deceive the people
48:45 one final time he traveled the four
48:47 corners of the earth and saw powerful
48:50 success in gathering the Nations
48:53 together he gazed over his new army they
48:56 numbered like the sand on the seashore
48:58 his lies stretched across the whole
49:01 earth and his army surrounded the camp
49:04 of God's people in the holy city the
49:07 elect was staring down an unwinable
49:09 matchup from worldly standards but they
49:14 didn't serve a worldly God suddenly the
49:17 heavens opened and fire poured out onto
49:20 the armies of Satan the Flames devoured
49:24 Every Soul outside of the city the devil
49:26 consumed with rage was restrained and
49:29 tossed into the same fiery Lake of
49:32 burning sulfur as his
49:35 comrades after the smoke cleared Satan
49:38 caught a final glimpse of mankind
49:42 glorious in being pure and white
49:46 welcomed into Heaven by their loving
49:50 Creator God was right all along mankind
49:53 was worthy to receive the blessing
49:55 because of Christ's atoning work on the cross
49:57 cross
50:00 this flawed creation was now made
50:03 Perfect Imaging god without
50:06 blemish they were a creation that could
50:08 only be described as glorious and
50:11 screaming in the Lake of Fire Satan
