Hi. So, a few years ago, I made a video
called seven passive income ideas for
shy introverts. And apparently, this
video has been doing some serious heavy
lifting up around this channel. Bless
her. Thank you. And if you came into my
cozy little world from that video, I
appreciate you so very much. But, I
wanted to create an updated video since
things are always changing around here,
around the internet, around the world.
Everything's changing all of the
freaking time. And so, we are due for an
update. You might want to call this one
the 2026 sequel. Without further ado-do,
here are seven quiet, no face required
ways to actually make money online this
year. Like real examples, real numbers,
no bro energy. I pinky promise because
that is not what I'm about. Cozy vibes
only. Let's dive in.
Quick little disclaimer. When I say
quiet, that does not mean lazy. None of
these ideas are quick let's make you
$10,000 overnight stat. No. That very
rarely happens. And if that happens to
you, it's like winning a lottery. It is
that unusual. These are real, legitimate
business ideas, strategies that still
work in 2026 and beyond. I don't know
when you're watching this. You may be
from the future, which is pretty cool.
They take time to build. You have to
build an audience in order to monetize
as well. But, all of these things have
one thing in common. None of them
require you to put your face, even
though it's a cute little face, on the
internet. Unless you want to or perform
with an energy that you certainly do not
have or pretend that you're someone
you're not, like Amy Porterfield or
Jenna Kutcher, all of these Marie
Forleos. Like, I don't know. We're past
that now. Be Just be you. Okay, now
let's dive in.
The first one is blog ad revenue. Yes,
blogs are still very much alive. The
blogging is dead people have been wrong
for 10 years and they're still going
strong, but they're wrong. Although, I
do admire their persistence. I may have
also uttered the phrase blogging is
dead, but what I mean is blogging in the
old way of blogging, of doing things, is
dead. Things have shifted, things have
changed, and I think that the written
content format, oh my god, I might go on
a little bit of a rant. Will you allow
this? Okay, I hope so. Will be making a
comeback. Like with all of the
information, with all of the AI tools,
with all of the things that we are
presented with these days, I really do
think that the written format is making
a comeback. Just look at Substack and
how popular that platform is. I think
we're going to see the same rise with
blogging. Like people are going to go
back to blogging. So definitely don't
sleep on blogging. Just start writing
things in your own voice. Share your own
opinions, your own story. Get really
consistent with it so that you can build
up your page views. Because once you hit
about 50,000 sessions per month, you can
apply to an ad network like Mediavine,
AdThrive, Raptive, and they basically
pay you for every visitor, and they take
care of all of the payments, the coding,
the ads on your site. You don't even
have to lift a finger. Now, this might
not be a huge area of business. I mean,
just for me personally, I make about
$500 per month from my ads. So, it's not
big numbers, but again, if you diversify
your income, this income is a sweet
little bonus, and $500 is not nothing.
And I am in this blogger group, and
there's a girl in there who has a
cooking, like a tiny baking blog. It's
not tiny, it's pretty big at this point,
and she makes $4,000 in revenue from the
display ads alone, and she never shows
her face. So, it's still possible. Just
got to get started. Number two, we have
digital products on Etsy. I don't know
what it is, I feel like Etsy gets
overlooked a lot when it comes to making
money online, and it shouldn't, because
it's basically a search engine that
already has buyers in it. Like they're
baked in. They come to this platform to
purchase. They're already in the mindset
of I'm going to spend money, and I'm
looking for this And if you have created
that thing, you're going to make the
money. So, let's say that you make a
digital product. Could be a planner,
could be a printable, could be a
template, a Notion dashboard. Whatever
your jam is, you price it at anywhere
from $5 to $30, and it sells while
you're sleeping. And there's no shipping
involved when it's digital, baby.
I have bought loads of things on Etsy. I
bought budget templates, Notion
dashboards, website templates for my
WordPress blog. I've also bought like
Canva social media templates for my
courses, and then I just update it with
my brand colors. If you are into
creating templates, this could be a gold
mine for you. Again, you do not need to
have a big audience to do this. You just
need to optimize your digital products
for search on Etsy. Number three, we
have affiliate income. More
specifically, Amazon affiliate income.
Hello, my name is Mia, and I have a
deeply unserious crush on Amazon
affiliates. So, here's how it works. You
sign up for Amazon affiliates. You get a
special link, and when someone buys
something from Amazon through that link.
And this could be anything, not just
what you recommend. Could be a book,
could be a camera, art, fun gadgets,
like things they sell on Amazon. You get
a small commission. I know that the
percentage isn't huge, but it's
something. And if you promote, let's say
cameras or like high-ticket products,
that income can add up. The trick here
is to really pair it with content that
people are already searching for and
that relates to the niche that you're
in. But you could also set up like an
Amazon storefront or a recommendations
page on your website, include affiliate
links in your link in bio, or in your
content description if you're on
YouTube, or if you're podcasting, and
you can create review articles as well
to send traffic to your Amazon affiliate
world. This is my reminder to check in
with my Amazon affiliate program because
I'm going to be frank, I'm going to be
completely honest. I have slept on this.
I have not promoted Amazon links for the
longest time. So, I need to get I need
to get back on that. Thanks for
reminding me, me.
Uh, number four, faceless YouTube
channels. I feel like this is the
biggest one that has pretty much
exploded since I last recorded this
video on this topic, I mean. And you can
have a YouTube channel, you can be
monetized, you can create content that
you love without ever showing your face.
There's so many like cozy especially
cozy. I don't know if this is just the
type of content that shows up on my
algorithm. Like cozy content creators
who narrate their day, but they don't
show their face. They're very private,
but the visuals are so beautiful and
they do it in such a cozy way that just
I can't stop watching. They're it's
great. It's super interesting. You could
do screen recordings. You can do
animations, voice narration over stock
video or your own b-roll. So, some niche
ideas for you could be meditation, cozy
lifestyle, history, mystery. Oh, that
rhymed. Productivity, tech reviews, like
really all the niches out there work in
a faceless format. You just got to find
your way of doing it. Number five, we
have email newsletter sponsorships. This
is also a new one that I haven't really
mentioned before. Start your email list.
If you haven't started your email list
yet, I do have a free guide below. So,
grab it. Once your email newsletter has
reached about would say anywhere from
2,000 to 10,000 engaged subscribers,
brands will pay you to mention them in
your newsletter. The thing here is you
need to have an engaged subscriber base.
They can't just be vanity metrics. You
have to have an open rate, a
click-through rate that's relatively
high. So, sponsorships in a 5,000 person
engaged list often pay way better than
in a 50,000 person dead list. Does that
make sense? Number six, online courses.
This is uh, I do have a course about
this. And yes, I have a course about
creating courses. I know there's a whole
thing about this online, but I stand by
it. Like my course, Her Passive Income
Dream, is great. It is value-packed. I
actually Oh, look at me going on a rant
again. But I actually was thinking of
retiring this course because I kind of
felt embarrassed about having a course
about course creation. But then as I was
going through the modules, the lessons,
the everything that I've included in
this course, I'm like, "Whoa, this is
really good. This is actually going to
help people. This has helped people."
And so I think creating courses, still
to this day, well, it's my favorite
because it literally funds my cozy
pajama lifestyle. And although I think a
lot of people come to ChatGPT and Claude
and they get their information that way,
but courses are still profitable because
you don't buy a course from just anyone.
You buy a course from a brand that you
trust, that you have seen gotten the
results that you want for yourself. And
you so you want to learn their way,
their step-by-step of getting that
result. And also I think a huge thing
with online courses going into the next
year, I think community is going to be a
big thing. And this is something that I
plan on incorporating into my online
courses because coming together,
learning from one person, getting the
results, seeing other people get
results, you can't put a price on that
and you certainly cannot put AI on that.
So basically with an online course, you
pick a transformation. You pick a
problem that you want to help solve for
people. And then you teach it really
well. I have Dreamer to Creator, I have
Cozy Business Academy, The Dream Is In
The List, Dream Plan Do, and I also have
Her Passive Income Dream now that's
making a comeback. It's not available
yet, but it probably will be very soon.
Keep an eye out. And you do not need to
show your face. You don't have to sit
down face the camera to be able to get
people results and to teach them
something. You can have a text-based
course, you can have an audio course.
There are no rules. No need to show your
face in this department either. And I
know we're at number seven, but I really
want to talk about two different things
that I already kind of talked about but
in a different way. So first of all, we
have sponsorships, and I don't mean
sponsorships in email newsletters. I
mean sponsorships as in you create
content for a brand without showing your
face, but still showing your story, your
personality in a written format or an
audio format. So, that's definitely
still possible, even if you don't want
to show your face. And another thing is
affiliate marketing in general. So, not
just Amazon Associates, but reaching out
to brands and doing a little bit of an
audit of the tools and software that you
use in your business and in your life in
general, and see if they have an
affiliate program. So, my income is
about 40% affiliate income because I
promote Bluehost mainly, and I promote
Flowdesk, and I promote What else do I
promote? Basically, all of the tools
that I use in my business, Showit, for
example. So, that's 40% of my income. I
don't promote it actively. I have the
links up on my recommendations page. I
sometimes do mention it in courses and
in my content, below my content, in blog
posts, things like that, but the links
are just out there doing their thing. I
don't have to show my face. I don't have
to create videos. So, just think about
products that you would recommend
anyway. You might as well get paid for
it while you're watching Friends or
Grey's Anatomy or that new show, Big
Little Lies. I love it. So good. If you
have watched all the way to the end, and
now you're sitting there going, "Okay,
this is great. Where do I even start?
Which one's for me?" Here's my honest
answer, and this is really honest. I
think you should start with the one that
right now sounds like least amount of
work. Seriously, start where the barrier
to entry is so low. For example, ad
revenue, affiliate marketing. Start
somewhere, start making some money
online to see what's actually possible.
Because once you make your first few
dollars or cents online, everything is
possible. If you can make a few cents,
you can make a few dollars, and if you
can make a few dollars, you can make a
few thousand dollars, and if you can
make a few thousand dollars, you can
certainly make a few hundred thousand
dollars. It's all happening, but start
somewhere. And then you can move along
to creating a digital product or a
mid-ticket course. But the most
important thing that you have to do is
to put yourself out there. It's to build
your community because without your
community, you will have no money, and
you will have no cozy pajama lifestyle
because people before profits. That's
the only caveat to all of this. Making
money online is not a get-rich-quick
scheme. Even if you don't want to show
your face, you still have to have that
community there. So, this is why I'm so
passionate about building a personal
brand. Yes, even though you don't want
to show your face, build a brand that
stands out. Maybe this means including
your voice or writing really good
Substack articles. Oh, that's another
That's another one. Okay, we got eight
ideas. Start a Substack. Charge for your
words. Also, big favorite. I also want
to start a Substack. So many dreams.
Build your audience, build a community,
and of course, if you feel comfortable
showing your face, it's going to be
easier. It's going to go faster because
showing up with your face and all that
jazz, it sparks trust, likeness, and a
connection with your community. But
don't worry, it's still possible to do
that without showing your face. But you
got to start somewhere. So, start with
one of these ideas, and I will see you
in the next one. By the way, I created a
brand new masterclass for you which
takes you through the steps of going
from daydreamer to full-time creator.
