hello and welcome back to the link to
feed training series this video is going
to cover logging in as well as offer a
general orientation to the dashboard
to start off with linkedin feed is not
compatible with internet explorer
i'm using google chrome but you can also
use safari firefox or other popular browsers
browsers
another important feature is that
link2feed has both a test site as well
as the live site
the test site offers the ability to play
practice and use all the features
without worrying about impacting any of
the real information
it is important to know which site
you're logging into especially if you're
going to be entering data and creating profiles
profiles
any information entered into the test
site will not transfer over to the live
site and you don't want to waste your time
time
the test site will have this red flag in
the center indicating this is the
testing server as well as the word test
up here in the url
if i switch tabs over to the live site i
have here
you'll see that it doesn't have that red
notification in the center and does not
today we're going to log into the test
site and if you're following along you
can use this information here
when entering your username and password
it's important to note that it is case sensitive
sensitive
meaning that if your password has this
capital letter you want to make sure
you're typing the capital letter as well
as any other symbols that are part of
your password
if you incorrectly enter your password
three times in a row link to feed will
lock you out and you will need to have
another user manually unlock your account
account
those details are covered in the
administration video
one tip to avoid that issue
is that if you have two unsuccessful
attempts you can click the i forgot my
password option
and link to feed will send an email to
your username with instructions for how
to reset your password
it is recommended that your
organization has at least two users that
are familiar with link to feed so that
if you do incorrectly enter a password
three times in a row you have a backup
plan to unlock your account
when you've made sure that your username
and password are correctly entered go
this is the first page you'll see when
you log in and i refer to it as a pre dashboard

here are applications and the only one
that we want to worry about
case management
if you're already somewhat familiar with
link to feed you may remember it used to
be called client intake
when you find case management click open
and that will navigate us to the dashboard

the left hand side is your navigation bar

these other options will be reviewed in
other videos
the dashboard also offers a place for
announcements from link to feed which
will notify you if any updates are
coming out soon
it will also have a daily tally of
households and individuals that have
additionally there will be a six months overview

since this is the test site this data
might look kind of funny but it'll make
more sense on the live site
as we scroll down you will find your
search bar this is where you will search
for client profiles and or create a new
client profile in order to add someone
the last item on the dashboard is the
most recently accessed client records
this will show you profiles you might
have recently opened but it won't be a
conclusive list it also occasionally
resets and you can also manually clear
the history but that doesn't mean you're
losing the information it's just
refreshing the list and you can always
find the profile you're looking for by
