- And perhaps that's true,
- but I don't know what's happening in somebody else's head
- unless I ask them a question.
- I don't know what's happening down the street
- unless I go and actually see it for my own two eyes.

- The first time I see a new view
- or make it to the top of a new ridge line, I'm still awed.
- And that's what I'm kind of in search of is awe.

The ingredient
- for having those experiences is not the distance of travel.
- It's the sense of unknown.
- and this is Ramsdallen.
- Every cool thing that we do is accompanied
- by some level of risk.
- And that's what makes it rewarding or satisfying.
- We're alone.

That is where those awe moments come from.

The core definition of adventure is
when something starts to go wrong.
There has to be an element of risk
for there to be a sense of adventure,
and for there to be a sense of awe
I think those moments really show you who you are.
- Yeah, let's go.

- I'm not thinking too much when running. It's more about clearing my mind. It's more about about feeling alive.

- There we go.
- One of the things about awe is
it transcends language.
It transcends culture.
It doesn't matter
whether you speak French, Swedish, Norwegian, English,
you can both sit there looking
at the same view and just the gaze
between you translates across all languages and cultures.
That's the beauty of awe.
