his music is playful but last night the
ticketing and security at his gig at the
O2 in Brixton appeared to go terribly
wrong as the pre-Christmas party crowd
packed in the venue was soon a capacity
with hundreds more stuck outside in the
freezing cold the ambulance service was
called as three people were seriously
hurt in the crush we saw literally saw
the people like trying to open the doors
completely understand their frustration
to be honest with you um

because we all had tickets yeah and the
assumption that well from my
understanding is that like
everyone had tickets outside like pretty
much like as in there wouldn't there
wouldn't have been that much like
commotion if we didn't have tickets
people have broken the doors outside and
because of security the police have
asked us to close the show
the gig was halted why and how were so
many people let in last night today
police confirmed they're investigating
I'm sure you can appreciate this is
still a fast move in an evolving picture
um uh involving and we're working to
establish the the events that led up to
last night's incident what went wrong
the venue already full yet around a
thousand people still outside many with
tickets were told wanting to get in the
problem was resellers
so there were so many different
resellers online social media reselling
tickets reselling VIP tickets so when
the tickets are resold you would have
thought that a ticket would be you can
only use it once yeah but this would
suggest that the technology isn't
working so people are reselling one
ticket three four five times people are
reselling tickets over and over again
trying to make money not realizing it's
unsafe we approached the O2 for a
comment they haven't responded to us
although the security firm have said
they're working with the authorities to
provide any information needed there may
also have been people who just chanced
it and pushed in the security clearly
failed it I don't want to speculate
until we actually know what those
arrangements were and if they were
adequate we have gone through a lot of
these things that we've shown our
constant resilience and this is a point
again where we have to come together and
pull food together
