The All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Sustainable Development Goals (APGM SDG) in Malaysia has successfully translated the global Sustainable Development Goals into tangible local action over its five-year existence, fostering collaboration and driving impactful community-level projects and policy influence.

conversations emerged the idea of an
all-party parliamentary group a model
inspired by the UK Parliament but
thoughtfully adapted to Malaysia's unique

context on October 17th

established a Beacon of Hope
Malaysia despite the challenges of the
global pandemic apgm sdg began its work
in Earnest set out to localize the sdgs
across Malaysia through field visits and
Community engagements we mapped local

constituencies in just 5 years apgm sdg
transformed dreams into action from the
mapped local constituencies we have
identified over 900 pressing issues with
1,373 micro sdg projects and 947 local
Partnerships with we created waves of

4,620 grassroot individuals from
Community farming projects to thrive
Beyond Grassroots projects apgm sdg
influenced National policies and trained
local leaders in 2023 we doubled down on
our commitment we expanded our advocacy

inclusion amplifying the voices of the
unheard we forged Partnerships with
organizations like yayasan hassana
strengthening District level policy
Solutions and empowering Grassroots
communities to
lead the road ahead is ambitious but we are
are
undeterred by 2029 apgm sdg will
decentralize operations expand Regional
hubs and unite sdg solution providers
ERS into a powerful Network we envision
a Malaysia where every constituency is a
champion of sustainable development
where communities don't just survive
they Thrive Together We will rise to
meet the challenge and inspire a nation
